I personally think Mika Immonen should win hands down with his finishes:

- 1st US Open
- 1st All japan Championship
- 1st Philippines vs the World
- 2nd World Pool Masters
- 2nd Lucasi 14.1
- 2nd Asia 10-Ball Championships
-2nd UPA Phoenix Desert Shootout
and a slew of top 10 finishes in almost every event he played in for the year

But lets see what everyone else says and why....
:)

Agree......

Very close call, but I agree. Souquet's win of both the Derby City Nine Ball event and the World Eight Ball Championship would get it done for player of the year honors in most years, but I'll give Mika the nod in 2008 for his sustained excellence.

And he was second in Phoenix (to Johnny) with a very strong field.

Johnny also won Turning Stone right? I know he has won a couple others this year too. I'm sure jay know what they are

as much as I love SVB and Johnny, and Ralf had a great year as always... but you'd have to be a fool to consider anyone other than Mika Immonen this year, he's been dominant.
