If you already own a nice pool table, and you find another 9 foot gold crown thats only $700 would you buy it just for the deal? Even if you didn't have a place to put it..
Buy it and resell it or whatever.

In any instance (if it has the org hardware) - It's a great deal!

thats like money in the bank, maybe you have a friend or a family member who could store it,this way you can have it set up and wait for the offers to roll in.or keep it.

Sure, put the best table on top of the other one and play it standing on a crate tied to one leg so it follows you when you walk. A lot of the best pro's used this method!!!

Also, you can invite all those pool loving giants around to your house and you'll have your own personal security team! :p

Actually, I'd keep the GC and sell my current table which is a pretty good table, but not a GC.

Actually, I do have 2 pool tables. A 5x10 and a Dynamo bar box. I bought the bar box for my kids. Funny though, I seem to play 10x the racks on the bar box that my kids do....

I am at the age and opinion that what ever something sells for that is what it is worth. With the internet and all other forms of information there are no "bargains". I don't need the hassle of trying to flip something. I do not need anymore baggage. I just want to keep life simple.

I have 2 tables as well. Nice Gold crown in the basement and my old table outdoors under a canopy and a concrete slap for those nice days I want to shoot pool outdoors. Got the whole drew carry show thing going :)
Its great at cook outs. Someday I am going to get a table specifically made for the out doors.

In all honesty, if you have no use for the table I would pass on it. They are hard to move and very hard to resell if they are not set up to play on. I bought out a bowling alley and had 12 Gold Crowns in my warehouse I paid $400. a piece for. I had a hell of a time getting $1000. to $1200. a table and it took like a year before they were all gone. People want to play on the table they are buying, they won't pay a good price for a pile of parts. Add to that they have to have it set up and a new cloth, balls some sticks and so on. After all your work you won't make anything worth your time and effort. I also bought a Gandy Big G another time and ran into the same thing, could not sell a pile of parts. I ended up selling it for what I paid and made nothing plus I lost the work I did moving it originally. Another thing, not all Gold Crowns are the same. Some have really large pockets A few had slates where the pocket were sloped so balls fell in if they got anywhere inside the pocket. Just my opinion but from my own experience not worth the trouble if you are not going to use the table yourself.

No theres no way that I am moving a table that big around and having to store it just to make a few hundred. If I could buy it and sell it immediately that would
be a different story.

In my mega-lottery fantasy world, my "game" room is big enough for a 9' GC, plus snooker AND billiard tables! A feller can dream, can't he?

With me.... a friend sold me a cold crown for $600... he lived a 100 miles away and told me if I paid for gas he would bring it to my door steps. 600 + 50 = pretty damn good deal so far.
Then I have a friend that does felt. 650 + free simonis cloth = even better good deal. I replaced the rails on them... 650 + 50$ rails = amazing new gold crown that has no balls to play with....

$700 for an amazing gold crown with no balls... Im not having any fun with it yet....
I hope they come in soon.

It must be great to have friends like that. Now all you need is to make some friends that will give you a free set of Centennials and maybe a Buska.
