I retired myself 3 years ago, Don. Allways post from home. Lucky enough to have a GC4 in the game room but don't practice much any more.

Man, that explains a lot.

Well, since I'm your REAL boss (I make the payroll), quit your mystical bullshit and get back to work.

Or better yet, go get a job that actually does others some good and maybe you'll finally understand the reality on a pool table.

Been there; done that,

The right to speak, does not include misusing others' property for the ability to speak.

Not only that, but WHAT one says becomes available to the public (in a forum like this, anyway), so I'd be wary if my boss could read it. If I still had a boss, that is.

Heh Rich, Lester said they already got on you guys for posting at work. Do you guys work at the same place? Maybe Lester was cut off. Oh, it was a long time ago and I can't remember details anymore. :D
We are aloud to use the computers and the internet during our breaks and lunch. No problems.

BTW, I also post from home. :D

I post while "working" at home taking care of the kids and the house (and oh yeah, trying to practice as well!!!), so I guess that's me, too.

Hi,
This is not about the people who were using the office computer for personal use.Peter Jennings was talking about the people who went to the Internet and talked bad about their work/superviser/organization and also anything aboutself that brings bad reputation to the organization.Jennings also mentioned that some court judgements in the past supported the Employer because employee made defamatory statements.

Thanks for the heads-up...that is different than I suggested in the first part of my post.

I could see attempting to keep the organization's reputation intact, as lying can destroy a lot of value quickly. But if one tells the rotten truth in context, the boss has only himself to blame, I'd say.

The internet has changed the world, hasn't it? Pretty soon, everything anyone does can be known by another, quite cheaply and quickly. Who really knows exactly where this open-info. society will lead. I can hardly wait!

Here's something more about that:

Will blogs produce a chilling effect?
TechCentralStation
by James D. Miller

"I fear that blogs may soon make many Americans afraid to speak their minds. Imagine you're a manager of a company. Your new blog nightmare is that you will say something stupid in a meeting and this will be reported in a blog. Other blogs will report the initial comment and soon whatever group you have offended will pressure your company to fire you. Or perhaps your distasteful remark will go unreported until you're promoted to CEO. Then your employees, while blogging about what kind of boss you are, will literally tell the world about your past unfortunate utterance." (02/14/05)
