"What was on the radar was, 'Hey, it would be nice to win all your games, but if you win all your games and then flicker out in the playoffs, you'll be known as the greatest team not to win the Super Bowl," tight end Jim Mandich from that 1972 Dolphins team recalled in a telephone interview this week. "That's your tag. And the Patriots know it, too. They know, we know, everybody knows, it's run the entire table or it's a forgotten season. Nobody will remember 17-0 or 18-0."

OK, back to more important threads.:p :)

Here is my take on the NFL this year as it relates to pool:

Patriots = Shane Van Boening playing with a $25,000 Gina Cue

Colts, Cowboys = Corey Deuel, Johnny Archer playing with Paul Mottey player cues

Chargers, Packers, Steelers, Jaguars = short stops playing with Schon cues

Browns, Titans, Buccaneers, Seahawks, Giants, Redskins = APA 6's playing with Mcdermotts that have the Cougars and tigers on them

Rest of League = Bangers using house cues

game is a lock, Pats to cover, hasn't been a smarter bet since Shane vs Earl

This is a primetime game that will be simulcast on 3 networks which is unprecedented and will proabably have the largest viewing audience of any non playoff game in years

Bellicheck ain't gonna lie down tonight

Meaningless game for the Giants.

not as meaningless as people may think

the whole country will watch Coughlin potentially lie down for the Pats and the media will roast him for it (undeservedly so)

poor guy, with all the crap he has had to endure he has to shoulder this bs burden

if the Pats had any honour, they would rest Brady and play 2nd string vs 2nd string

Jesus, i just mentioned "pats' and "honour" in the same sentence

Pats = cheaters.... Enough said...

Roast them, like they roast Bonds... and have now started on others...

problem is the NFL has done the best job i've seen in the history of sport burrying this scandal, not to mention all the other Pats crap, i.e. Harrison suspened for steroids, Brady/Moss deadbeat dad allegations, etc......

they've been very fortunate that dog fighting and steroids have given everyone enough to talk about, lucky sobs came close to having the 49ers deliver them Darren Mcfadden to boot

I agree, butt I've kicked myself in the butt too many times recently for NOT betting against the US in the Mosconi Cup when they took the early lead. With the recent Earl ness and the down turn in the skill our boys have been going through, and the odds that Stan James gave....I'm still kickin' myself for not bettin' a grand, bets like that done come along often, especially with decent odds.

they just need to address the officiating ......but dont want to draw attention to the problem ...

A healthy Colts team = Colts running out when they need to , which = two super bowl wins in a row ............

Hey...easy there big fella.

<-----APA 6 with a McD big kitty cue.

Ok Ok Ok....I'm not really a 6....and I dont't own one of those fine pieces of feline artistry but a guy can dream.

:D :p :D

Oh yeah....I hope the Pats win. That way they will look that much worse when The Horse beat them in their house to go to the Big Game.( Shut up...I know the history :D )

no, I'm a fan of the game

I appreciate what the Pats are doing this season but I don't like them, they've been caught and punished for cheating, caught and punished for steroids, run up the score against all ettiquette, and their coach acts as if he's doing us a favour just by answering simple post game questions

this all leaves a very bad taste in my mouth

I think with Harrison back the Colts who have won their last two games at Gillette will cause some problems for them

I have played pool on a few "FROZEN TUNDRA'S" in my time:D

Defense wins Championships, but you better have a DAMN good "D" to stop the Pats. imo

Peace
Todd
