Pool article in our local paper

A few weeks back one of our local newspaper reporters asked if he could do a article about me and pool. He came to the pool hall and took a few pictures and did a quick little article. It's just a simple write up but it did make the front page and showed a positive side to pool which is something I made sure he would do before I agreed to it.

Hope you like it.

After going through the pics he took I noticed something terribly wrong. My left arm is bent quite a bit in almost every picture and its been effecting my game. I didn't realize I did it to that extent though. I figured out why I was doing it, my back has been getting worse lately and I was compensating for the pain. Back to the drawing board I guess.

Congrats on the article...very well written...why does your left arm being bent concern you ?

Being bent just a little isn't a big deal for me but being bent to the extent that it is in the picture means that my mechanics are off. For one my bridge is too short and I just dont have good form like usual. But now that I have seen it I can correct it.

It's all related to my back pain. Because of the pain I don't get down on my shots as much as normal and a few other things are out of whack.

Great read, and how cool is that to see one of our own showcased in the article about pool!

And, BTW, I just love your avatar! :grin-square:

Great interview and article . Kudos to the local press.

If you bridge was any longer the joint would be moving through you bridge hand.

Thanks Jam! Glad you like the avatar, it's my prized possession!! I've been a big fan of Keith's for years, thank you so much for your help.

Thanks. There are plenty of players in my area that are better than me and probably more deserving of a article. I just happened to be in the right at the right time.

Nice article. Must be nice to have a wife that is so supportive of your pool playing.

One question though - what's up with the closed bridge on the rail? You have something against having your cue touch the rail or something? ;)

I have found that it helps keep the cue tip down and prevents the tip from sliding up and over the CB for a miscue. I've started using it as much as possible of the rail. BUT THAT"S JUST ME!
