Pool Halls in Southern Missouri

There is one in Joplin Mo I forget the name of them good luck trying to make a buck in that town. You will see some good players around there too.

Thanks for the info on Joplin. Went on mapquest only to find out Joplin is close to 2 1/2 hrs. west of West Plaines MO. I was hoping to find something a little closer. Doesn't any one play pool in southern Missouri?

Check Poplar Bluff it's closer (you might get a good game of banks there)

Springfield is an hour closer. There are two poolrooms there. Billiards of Springfield, and Sharkey's. All Goldcrowns at Billiards, and Goldcrowns and barboxes at Sharkey's. Adult beverages and good food at both. :smile:

There's a place called Vern's Guns Pool & Snooker in Ava about 1-1/2 hours west of West Plains. If you're a hunter or trap shooter or the like maybe you can indulge in two hobbies at once:

If you or another AZer has a chance to visit Vern's I'd like to hear about it. I've only spoken to them on the phone, and that was nearly a year ago.

Just go 42 minutes south and go river rafting or canoeing in spring river!!!!!
There is no pool there.

It looks like Springfield is the closest place to go, other than the local bar with one 7 footer. I have to check out Vern's. Pool and guns under the same roof, should be interesting. I hope they don't sell liquor to.
