I just watched a Women's event from NY on Youtube last night that was played on GC1's. They were kept in tip top shape, simonis, etc. Rails were not bouncy, played great.
To really do that as far as the pro events, I think they will have to get 9-foot tables into pool rooms. Do you see that happening?everything tables revolves around diamonds these days. just like in the past it was brunswicks.
it would be great to see brunswick get back into it again
I bought an old Brunswick room like you describe. The guy was the original owner and he had everything that they gave him when he started. All kinds of booklets and instruction manuals for running the business.no bob. but i said that is what i would like to see. but they did it in the past. and if they got prices down and players wanting them it could come around and at least be competitive with diamonds.
they used to put in tables in new rooms for little down and take payments for some. and of course you got mosconi with every new room to do an exhibition. they also came and helped set up the business and taught or gave advice on running it. diamonds as far as i know put in tables and leave.
and the days of brunswick with lots of advertising to the masses got many new players and rec. players in every pool room. and now its mostly league players or regulars if you have a cheap monthly rate.
few monopolies last forever. and rightly so. brunswick had one and lost it for lack of caring.
If you know who brings the big crash, then pool has a chance to get it's feet back in. Like the 20s again.no bob. but i said that is what i would like to see. but they did it in the past. and if they got prices down and players wanting them it could come around and at least be competitive with diamonds.
