I can't remember a time in my life where every time I turn around there is another great tournament with great added money.

For me the timing is right. As I've been planning my next journey teaching Perfect Aim and playing and I can see these tournaments all over the country.

It's not just one part of pool doing it but rooms and organizations all over the country putting up this big added money everywhere I look. I wish I was 20 years old again but it is what it is. I'm going to make the best of it. I'm going to try and get some of this CASH$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Bonus Ball on ESPN. It just goes to show you that these guys are not going to give up and the players are all pitching in to help make it happen. They are all doing it for the sport and and the money just keeps getting better and better.

The pros are getting it done with bonus ball and some other great tournys here and there and the amateur side of it is rolling better than ever.

As I'm planning my next trip I just see one tourney after another , after another.

In my home area there is something to go to every weekend until I leave the state to head to Fargo, ND on the 7-9 of March. $3,500.00 added :yeah:

Then it's off to Colorado Springs to the Nick Varner Classic the 21st-23rd of March. it's already full I hear. 128 players. How's that for got it goin on. $8,000 added I think. But that's close enough for me. WOW! :happydance:

Then it's off to Saratoga, Wyoming March 28th - 30th. Guaranteed money like all the rest of these. $10,000 :bow-down:

Then it's off to Four Bears in New town ND doing what Ray and the tribal members do best. Having 2 great tournaments with over $10,000 added. April 10th to the13th. :cool::wink2::thumbup:

Players today need to understand this is better than ever before. Opportunity is there for sure. This is a chance for any player to test their skills and have some fun.

Most of these tournys will be full of allot of local players with many players traveling to fill in the final spots.

These will all fill up for sure.

Pool is alive and well. Bonus Ball is here to stay.

Players everywhere as a group need to support these tournys and follow what the pros are doing. Creating interest for everyone. Making our game grow.

This is going to allow pool to grow faster and faster than ever before.

Everyone is doing their part where ever I look.

Just open your eyes and look. It's happening right now!

Zack just called me from Oshkosh and wanted to know how soon I could get over there. Some players that say they are from Seattle want to play some $1000 sets.:shocked2:

Need to get off this computer and get some sleep:boring2: so I can get there tomorrow hopefully.

Pool is better than ever and the playground just keeps getting bigger and bigger all the time.

If everyone pitches in and stays positive like they have, there are so many good things that are happening and more to come. :)

Cool Gene... starting on the 21st your schedule look a lot like mine except for that Colorado Spring stop... I'll be in Denver where the tournament is. :) Trying to book rooms in WY and ND (4bears- waiting on Ray to get back with me on ND). Maybe we hook up/

Pretty sure that North American First Nations people prefer not to referred to as tribes.

They put on a pretty good show sharing some of the tribal rituals before the tournament every year.

A special place to be for sure..........

E.J. puts on a really nice event in Wyoming. The people are very friendly but I am going to give you some information that might help you navigate through the weekend.

The main hotel is Hotel Wolf. They have a restaurant on the main floor but it is not open all the time. You need to be there early if you want to be seated because it is the place to be on Friday and Saturday nights for dinner. The food is great and the hospitality is phenomenal.

The town is old so please remember this when booking your hotel rooms. Hotel Wolf is a historic building with an interesting tale to share. It is about a three minute walk to the community center where the tournament is held. It is very comfortable but many people forgot that is was old the first morning they tried to get ready. Electronics do not work very well when everyone is trying to use them at the same time. If you want to stay in this hotel you need to book soon because it is the popular hotel for people coming into town.

The Sand and Sage motel is one of the motels in town that is also about a 3 minute walk from the community center. These rooms are old but clean but offer a mini full service kitchen. This is convenient because if you want to bring food or purchase food you have everything you need to prepare your meal as well as serve it. There are two gas stations that have large food areas in them. One right across the street from this hotel and the other just down the road to the right. I will warn you that the room we ended up in last year was built for small people. What I mean is everything in the bathroom was pint size. I'll share my adventure when we meet in Denver as it is a funny but rather embarrassing experience.

The tournament is fantastic. It is run exceptionally well and the community center is spacious with lots of seating for spectators. They section the room off in areas so it is easy to watch the different divisions when you are not playing. There is no alcohol served at the community center but they do have other offerings reasonably priced.

In the evening when the tournament is over for the day many people gather at the saloon (bar) and have an enjoyable time. There are pool tables and I believe they have some sort of mini events but don't quote me on it. I know one of the evenings they play a billiard game that E.J. developed and everyone has a lot of fun sweating the action.

Got in a discussion with a local player about how good pool is now.....

I had to share how it was in 1971. 1981. 1991.

It is so much better now that it is ridiculous.

So many tournys with so much added money.

And on the local level there are 2 or 3 every weekend with some small added money for the locals.

something to do every weekend enjoying the game we love.

At first my friend disagreed but soon he just had to agree.

Live streams all over the place for those that want to watch.

don't really need TV. Internet will be the way of the future of pool for sure.

Little by little this will become more evident.

Just thankful that I am alive to enjoy some of this.

Get out and play everyone and support the pay per views out there. We can control the destiny of pool with the numbers.
 
Where can, or can I find the player list for the Denver event, I heard it filled.
 
71, 81, 91...vs today:

More tourneys= less gambling.

Fewer pool rooms today. Travel expenses far higher too.

Not better, by some measures for sure.

The local players have a great tournament and little gas and only entry to play. If they go cheap in the Calcutta they get a chance at the big cheese real cheap also.

What great fun for the local players.

These players are not trying to do this for a living. for them it is mostly for the fun of the game. most only play once or twice a week. If they practice all week they could have a better chance.

It's just fun to get out there and strut your stuff against some good competition.

Might just be the spark that will ignite your inner passion for the game. Might have another pro in the flanks.

Main thing is just have some fun..........
