Pool Instructor

This is my new post, so if this information is available elsewhere on the sight, I apologize. I have been playing pool casually since I was a teenager. I've been decent, but always inconsistent. I recently purchased a used table and have been practicing daily, but with hardly a rhyme or reason. I have found that when set up for a straight in shot, I consistently miss the object ball to the left of my target. At any rate, I am looking for an instructor that either I could go to, or they come to me, in the Olympia WA area. A quick search on google yielded no results. I'm open to traveling to seattle if this would increase my options (I'm sure it would). I thank you in advance for any information you have to share.

I believe that Ken Aylesworth lives in Washington when he is not on the road. I'm sure that somebody here would have his contact info.

David...Sarge moved to Vegas two years ago! He's been working in a casino there. I just saw him last month and he's got a new vehicle, all custom painted for his shows...and he's going back out on the road!

Brad Horshaw is a BCA Certified Advanced Instructor who lives in the Seattle area.

Mark Avlon`

I want to thank you all for your suggestions. I was fortunate to have Mark Avlon come to my home to give me his two day course in billiard mechanics. As my initial question was related to poor consistency, this seemed like a great place to start. Mark was fantastic. His mechanics course has provided me with a strong foundation upon which to build, and ultimately, improve and strengthen my game. I look forward to improving to the point that I can benefit from the next class he has to offer. Again, to all who have the desire to improve your game, and who live in the pacific NW (Seattle Area), I can strongly recommend Marc Avlon as a great pool instructor.

Glad you had the opportunity to work with Mark. He's a great instructor. Now, at least, you know how to create an accurate and repeatable stroke. It's how you practice what you learned, that will result in permanent improvement! Good luck with your process!

Matt we should make one of those boards. We could bring it to applejacks on mondays. Everyone would have fun with it.
