Pool is...

Maybe it’s time to google ‘humble’.

Why be what you not, can’t deal with anyone opinion other then your own.

Opinions are not bad, they are just how we see thing.

Maybe that’s when KFC is not only fired chicken join.

I hate that word BRAH!!! WTF does it even mean besides the obvious, my German pronunciation=stopemfromfloppin or in English= Brassier. Why call some dude a brassier??? That just makes no sense to me, brah!!!:confused::confused:
It’s a gym word. In that world it works. Not so much in pool. But I’ll give it a pass.

Main thing is we are for the most part all here and pool didn’t die with the flu thing. As most things I hope get back to normal, that was a rough couple years. Lost some great people who weren’t as lucky.

I’m glad to be a card carrying member of the pool world. Yeah I was pissed off today in another thread but

Pool is……

Alive and well

Aww-

Hi pt109
You got me ;)

That's Brit player Phil Burford behind me texting and Alex Pagulayan was on my left.
This was taken at the BCA Trade Show in Schaumburg, IL 2014 (I may be off a year)

Macrocosm/Microcosm-

I'll cite one example: Russia and how it has played, and is playing a role both on the world stage as well as with pool,
I have about 5 or 6 crazy connections for pool and Russia, both in the past and currently.
Hey Angel. I think that was the year George would not let Fatboy in with his Starbucks coffee. Led to an argument then he and I went to Red Shoes.. All pretty stupid, by George! Hope your well!

I’m not sure which George, but I’m glad you both went to Red Shoes☺️
All is well.
I hope you are too🙏

Pool is like Golf in many ways, people play, people love, but game creates frustration in many way.

Both games are tough to master, because they are difficult.

Hi All,

I have always believed pool is a microcosm of the macrocosm.

This is more true now than it's ever been!

Somewhere within the year, someone posted a thread stating something akin to this.

I don't know who it was or what the thread was titled, but I glanced it, smiling, happy in the knowledge I wasn't the only one seeing a pattern develop.

Last year was a banner year for pool inside and out-whether it's evident to most or not, I know it.
Pool is so many things:

I remember discovering my first pool table and getting hooked on the game.
Somewhere during this time I played on tables that cost a dime! They were leftovers
from a generation of players before the days of the quarter tables.
A lot has happened in the world since then and a lot has happened to Pool.
Somewhere in the midst of all this, we have to see where we've been and think
about a way forward. Pool changes, ebbs and flows. What will change it for the
better? Who knows until you try.

Not only do I know it but I pursue it, because it's in the actual 'doing', we create, even if it seems a small positive thing you do,consider it a small victory.

Jerry Forsyth of AZBilliards is a farmer.
What a farmer can explain to you, nature will demonstrate for you.
Jerry knows that if he plants his seeds and gives them favorable conditions, they will grow well and yield a bumper crop.
Little hidden miracles that must be buried (literally) and hidden in order to grow, and change from seed to sprout and from sprout to plant.
This may all seem pretty elementary, but we need reminding.

All that we do and have been doing within pool, has been to grow.

We have been growing.

That being said, I wish you all a Happy Passover!

Look inward and grow upward.

Think the close Ox Bar in Phoenix that closed years ago were last of 25cent tables.

Hear the new table are buck a game. I am frugal, and will pass.
