If you haven't already seen, the Mezz West Tour's Oscar Dominguez and (me) Chris Santana were interviewed on Saturday in Phoenix regarding the tour while we were at Stop #5. I was able to get a friend of mine who is a director at the station to get us an interview with Richard Saenz at FOX Sports:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wmxVVLKtOg&feature=youtu.be

If you have time, check it out. The more clicks and views we get, the better chance we have of getting a LIVE crew out to our next stop in Phoenix, which is in October. This segment was recorded and aired online only, so that they could gauge interest and get a budget for a live crew.

Thanks for all the support out there! We are doing big things for pool out here, but we can't do it without you guys.

Next stop on the tour is the NEW California Billiard Club in Fremont, CA August 8-9. Hope to see you all there!

Great job on getting the interview in the first place. Even better job in the answers to the interviewers questions. Kudos to you sir. Way to put pool as a sport that is all inclusive.

I like how they didn't give credit to Tony Robles' Predator Pro/Am Tour here in NYC, like they didn't mold their tour after Tony's and acting like they came up with the idea on their own. Nonetheless, great interview and great to see pool in the spotlight, as little as it may be. Think of all the possibilities if every tour were ran the same and all tournament directors and organizers got together to work on a single tour, there would huge tournaments in about every single state. Not enough unity imo.

I agree with this statement... I loved the interview you both handled your selves great and answered every question wonderfully... But Not everyone can go to Cali or Nevada and play in a tourney would of been nice to shout out some tours in the midwest or east coast tours since it was on a national Channel in Fox Sports 1 and tyhey pose no threat to your Venture... Other than That a very good and classy interview something pool has needed for a long time

Very nice job. And there was no reason for them to mention the other tours across the country - jeez stop nitpicking.

That is a nice interview. I think it is lame to call the guys out for what they left unsaid about other tours in an interview when even getting an interview at all is a big damn deal. They are there to talk about their event and pool with a limited time frame allotted for an interview.

Very professional...Well done guys I enjoy the events.

Only thing I would have added was if its a safe environment for children to watch the matches to bring their son or daughter and spectate for an afternoon. Cheaper than taking them to watch MLB

Side point because I don't know the answer. Wasn't talking about gambling and payouts on TV the way the Johnson city event attracted the attention of the IRS?

Noted. Please make sure you mention every pool tour next time you're on TV buddy.

But seriously - we did the best with what time we were given and the questions asked. In retrospect we could have also mentioned every sponsor, named every name in the business, and talked about upcoming events everywhere in the world. But that's not what we were there for. In the future, we may be more inclusive if given the opportunity.

As for the IRS question, I doubt they will see the video (hard enough to get people in the pool world to see it), and if they do, I also doubt they will care about a few grand. Johnston City was waaaay bigger and bets were way higher 24/7. I think we're ok there.

Thanks everyone else for the support! You guys rock.

Thank you and everyone involved for bringing back a regular schedule for California.

Very very professional guys:) not like the other 2 promoting a show!

This is what I want to see and hear when it's about pool! Professional!!

You guys got my vote!

this is great, well done. I feel like pool is gonna be a thing soon all over the country. that would be awsome.

On top of Chris and Oscar being extremely professional and informative I also really liked the interviewer, he did his research and really asked all the right questions to make a long interview feel exciting throughout. Good job guys!

Spectacular. Best thing in pool since The Color of Money IMO
Very professional and respectful on all sides, they answered the questions great and the host didn't try to knock at pool bringing up all kinds of negative crap and asking down grading questions. This was 100% better than when Archer got his shot on TV and only did a trick shot.

Oh and Chris no one said you had to mention every one so stoop trying to be a wise guy, a simple "there are tours on all corners of the country" would of been nice and enough, you guys are being viewed as the face of pool so promote it, unless that was more for yourself than the sport. That type of attitude to me could hint at some of the things wrong with pool, selfishness.

But this is not a stab at you guys just voicing an opinion based on a comment. I'm sure that you guys were focused on that and having that opportunity and have my utmost admiration and respect and thanks.
Now make up for it by seeing how we can get an interview like that on the other coasts, lol.

Not trying to be dick here but didnt you say in your interview you wanted to help pool? If so then why wouldnt you mention other tours that are not a general threat to your Livelihood. Then you come on here and try to bash/humiliate with your statement of " Please make sure you mention every pool tour next time you're on TV buddy." To me thats not the way anyone should run a business. Also in fairness it was in bad taste for him to just come out and try to bash about whether you did or did not copy Tony Robles tour. But, You are the one with the business and should of came up with a more appropriate response to that.
I know that i will catch a lot of flack for this and dont really care so fire away
