OB Cues are the official cues of the 2014 Men's Challenge of Champions which airs for the first time this Sunday, January 4th, from 5-8pm EST on ESPN2 in HD.

The 1st Semi-final at 5:00pm EST will feature Darren Appleton vs. Shane Van Boening and the 2nd Semi-final at 6:00pm EST will feature Dennis Orcollo vs. Thorsten Hohmann. The Final will then be shown at 7:00pm EST.

Please watch (or record) this event on Sunday and also try to encourage as many of your friends as you can to watch. We will continue to sponsor pool on TV as long as we continue to have the support of you, the fans!

Also, I respectfully ask that if you already know the result, please do not post it in this thread as it will ruin it for those that plan to watch on Sunday that don't know the outcome.

Love the OB sponsored events!! A friend played in the Pool 300 league you guys had in DFW a while back. I wish that game would have taken off, it was quite a bit of fun and I loved how OB cues was involved in the sport.

Not that it matters because I'm going to watch regardless, but are they playing 8, 9, or 10 ball?

Thanks for letting us know about this. I'll be watching with friends and family.

Who's idea was it to put this on during the NFL Playoffs?

It won't stop me from watching, but I'm a pool fan.

It's tough to reach the general public when they have something more interesting (to them) to watch.

It's on opposite the playoffs because that's when they air this type of event. They don't expect many viewers so they don't use prime programming opposite the NFL. It's not a coincidence. Often the same with bowling...is it even on anymore at all? Haven't noticed.

If you have dvr on your cable record all three, even if you watch it live. The reason is because the cable companies keep running totals of all recordings. It's one of the ways they track viewership. The thinking is that if it's important enough to record, the show has a loyal audience. Of course they supply these numbers to the individual networks as well as public. PS...they also follow what you watch.

Anyway, watch & record so you get tracked twice.

The Cowboys are playing...America will be watching something else...record record record though

I agree. Just curious why anyone didn't see if ESPN could air it after the season is over or during the Pro Bowl :D

I'm sure I'm making it sound easier than it is, but the first step in getting pool on TV to the masses is airing it when they don't have something "better" to watch.
