Pool or Super Bowl this Sunday

You can have it both ways. In my time zone, the Super Bowl starts after 6:00 PM, so I'll shoot some in the afternoon, and then race home to watch Big Ben!

Big Superbowl tournament in memphis, Tn this weekend. So, I as well will be doing both. Can't miss out playing pool because of a football game... We're just having to bring the big screen to the pool hall.. :)

I'm so ready for football season to be over. I don't mind watching a few games here and there but I can't freaking stand the football freaks. Especially when they are at the pool hall. I'm trying to play and they are yelling and screaming. I had some sit right next to my table. They were less than 57" away from the playing surface and when I hit them with my stick they looked at me as if I was the annoyance.

I'll probably watch the Super Bowl. Mainly for the commercials. But I can't stand football anymore and I hope all the Profesional and College teams go under.

The Flamingo, where i hang out & shoot is setting up a Big Screen in the front room where the Gold Crown is. I don't think there will be much room to play. I am going to shoot Saturday afternoon. Sunday i am having a small Super Bowl party at my place. My wife is making Nacho's & Gaucamole............Yummy!!!!!!!!!!:D

Anyone else feel like So What, when it come to the Super Bowl this Sunday. I gping to the Pool Room............:D :) :p :D :) :p

That's my attitude. My buddies superbowl party got screwed up this year because of lack of response to his email. And to tell you the truth, the only thing I will miss are the Belgian waffles and the poker game.
Maybe the lack of interest reflects our age. Personally, I'm pretty jaded when it comes to professional athletics.

... the Detroit area ...

Oh yeah, I forgot that part. It isn't even football. It is some game that vaguely resembles it, but is played indoors.
Without the natural elements, it just ain't football.

It Ain't The Football Game

The important part of it all is the spiced shrimp, wing dings, ice cold beers, dips & chips, friends, and the pool table next to the TV. What football game?????:D
Purdman:rolleyes:

Still trying to recover from last season:mad:

And if you are any kind of football fan, and you can't put your cue down for four hours to watch the game, you got a problem.

I'm definitely doing both. I've got the big plasma tv on a heavy steel arm, so it can be swung out to give a perfect view for whoever is playing pool. I'll play before and after the game, on commercials and half-time and dead spots during the game. Hell, the Colts aren't in it, what do I care??

Who's coming over to play???

Alas, my Bears are not in the Super Bowl. Then again, for me, making the playoffs was like the Super Bowl.:p :D I'm really not sure who I'd be ruting for, but it looks like I'll be on the "Steel Bus" this Sunday. I'll be over my cousin's again this year, and hopefully will be grilling some hamburgers, chicken, and frying some turkeys.:D I haven't started playing again yet, so there will be no conflict. (Wouldn't like playing on Sunday's anyway...) Everyone have a safe and Happy Super Bowl Holiday!:D :p

I love the Super Bowl. My girlfriend usually invites a few of her 20-something girlfriends over for the party. The girls usually wear tight t-shirts with the team's logo right on the front :D . I like for there to be alot of scoring, because then the girls jump up and down, up and down, calpping their hands and hugging each other really tightly..................

Umph, oh...wait a minute. I drifted off to sleep again. I'll probably be at the Viking Event in Duluth.

Mike

I dont watch football, but I will probably head to my parents house with my wife and they will watch it while I shoot pool in the basement. I, Of course, will leave it on for the commercials.

E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!!

My team is playing in a tournament this weekend so that's where I'll be. Besides, it's American Football, there's too many downs and the field is to narrow. What kind of challenge is that!!!!!!

Although, having our tournament the same day as the superbowl has caused a bit of strife on our team when one of the guys said he wasn't coming because of the superbowl and another teammate stated that if he didn't show up he was quitting the team. (it was an interesting night last night playing league. I'm sure we left a lasting impression on the home team with all our bickering.)

:D

Sounds like my dysfunctional team full of people from dysfunctional families. :D

That would sure guarantee it would never be back here.

That won't matter. How many of the real Lion fans would get to attend if they did? All the media wants to do is fill up the good seats with celebreties to promote a new movie or TV show.

Had season tickets when they played in Tiger Stadium. It was great. Could take anything you wanted into the game. When they moved inside the elements of the game was destroyed. Just like baseball inside.

I wish they would move the Lions to Los Angeles and rename them the Lion Kings of La La Land. Then we would get 4 quality football games shown every Sunday on TV plus the night game.

This being Steeler country up here...not me but most everyone else. We are actually closing the room on Sunday. Two weeks ago for the conference games I had only 6 tables in 13 hrs.

Go HAWKS
