Pool player kicks De La Hoya's ass

I hope your not quoting this PPV as one against the UFC because this one was HORRIBLE. 2 quick fights and 90 minutes before the main event? We couldn't see that fight they where blabbing about behind them really?? UFC if they are between time will show a fight that might have went quick or fight something else in. UFC have very bad cards. But come on a fight of this hype (24 /7 is an excellent series to show that I am not 100% ufc biased... ) but the amount of talk was crazy. Great I'm paying 10 bucks over for HD and I pay to watch Larry Merchant blab on and on.

I disagree with that statement. I have regretted every PPV UFC fight I have paid for. Boxing does have its share of duds but then you get that one great fight that sucks you back into the sport. The most recent was the Margarito-Cotto fight a few months back. UFC is pretty boring to me, and the way I see it that sport is resembling WWE more every day.

I have Direct TV and had to pay an extra $10 to get the fight in HD. Am I the only one who is really pissed off about that? I know that I pay an extra $10 a month per HD reciever on my account. Since I pay for these receivers shouldn't I get all programs in HD that are offered. They pulled the same move the NFL Sunday ticket package selling the package for one price and then only giving the games in standard definition after the first week, I had to pay an extra $100 to be able to watch the games in HD. Do companies like comcast charge extra for PPV programs in HD as well?

Danny Deliberto was a professional fighter and professional pool player and also played some professional baseball also....

Please describe this pic. What am I looking at?

The picture is of Danny DiLiberto when he was younger and was, in fact, a professional boxer.

I wonder how much De la Hoya made for the fight.

I also see the guy on the mat in the background  . Danny was known as a "Knockout" fighter. He scored a few poolroom 'knockouts' as well.

He showed me his hands where he had broken them a few times...OUCH!

After all the PPV buys are counted in, the loot for De La Hoya will be somewhere between 30 to 45 million
USD, while Pacman will settle for somewhere between 20 to 30 million USD, not bad for 24 minutes of work

For those who missed the fight or want to watch it again, here it is:

That doesn't seem fair. :(

I wonder if Oscar will give Manny a little jelly roll!

Check out the gloves these boxers have to wear, with all the padding! Yuck!

I can't believe anyone pays for boxing anymore with UFC around. UFC makes boxing look like a joke.

Yep,... That was the last time I will be TOOK by PPV Boxing. Boxing is now very boring compared to UFC and MMA. Especially when you have a boxer like De La Hoya that goes in there with no intention of winning and doesn't even put up a fight just to snatch one last huge paycheck.

Obviously, you haven't seen a Pacquiao fight, there's never a dull moment and you're missing a lot Bigjohn...

Tell that to Danny Toriano aka Diliberto. He was an unbeaten welterweight contender once upon a time.
Danny must have been preety good. He actually fought as a light-weight. He had 14 fights and won 12 with 11 knockouts. He had 2 draws. Danny Ring name in www.boxrec.com is Dan Toriani. Great athlethe.
