Another opinion
well, I don't care for Golf, gave it up 30 years ago. I was going against the grain, since my Dad had a Golf scholarship to College and was a par golfer, in the style of Arnold Palmer, and my big brother used to play a lot of golf (but could never beat Dad). For the most part, it is hot, windy in Kansas, never could afford a cart, and down right irritating, plus I did not partake of the getting drunk in the 19th hole like so many seem to enjoy. When I did play, I enjoyed the par 3 courses more than a regular course, and golf just wasn't my cup of tea (never could break 80).
I prefer a good round of Tennis or playing indoor Soccer to Golf. Now, as I get older, I just want to have fun and be comfortable while I am doing it.
When I was growing up, I caddied for money, and Golf was a cheap sport back then to play, now if you play regularly and in tournaments, it can be very expensive.
