William Finnigan asked me to post this for him...

I know Jerry Tarantola (NY) with NYC Grind Sports Marketing and Blair Thein (FLA),with Team Believe promotions have been working on making this reality show for quite some time and have been gaining momentum in all aspects. Jerry is one of the top pool players in NY and is known for his heart and is respected for what he is trying to accomplish in the sport of pool.

In order for someone to pull a reality show off that will be a huge success you need to have the credibility from the pool world of coming us as a money player and stepping up vs.. tough players and betting your money. NY is pulling for Jerry Tarantola to help Blair Thein make his vision a reality and is supported by most of the local pool halls and pool players. I know Jerry and he is not a talker.... he likes to step up and make things happen.

Watch out for the Hustle Bus... (Traveling pool players with a little spice)
Watch out for the upcoming reality show that will break new ground in the world of sports and pool. (I can't say much, but I can say that it is closer to coming out than you think.)

The kicker is that they are going to combine 3 of the hottest sports on the planet in Pool, Poker and Extreme fighting with the upcoming Pool,Poker and Pain show that will be a huge success.

I have been around the game of pool all my life and I know pool players... a true pool player either gambled at one point or still gambles to remain sharp, that is the reality. If you don't have the seasoning you can't consider yourself a pool hustler or a road player. Most pool players play cards or have an appreciation for the psychological element of the game and the kicker is pool players right now are tired of getting pushed around and there are the select few who have a background in fighting... who are willing to step up and show the world what they got...for the greater good of the sport, as a gambler and as a contender to stand out and shock the sporting world by doing something that has never been done.

The bottom line is take these guys for real... because I have seen its progression unfold and look out for it because Pool, Poker and Pain is coming.

If you are interested in learning more about Blair Thein and this upcoming reality show, I am at liberty to share with you the below link.

Blair Thein is looking to give the pool world a little heart transplant as he mentioned in a Billiards Digest Aug 2004 article..."Pool Player looking for a fight"

Let the infusion begin!

How well does Blair play pool ....??? Give me a match up of his speed...

I would be more worried about his MMA capabilities.

Opening shot - Close up of Earl Strickland's face, eyes locked forward

Pull back to show him lining up on an easy 9 Ball into the corner.

Pull back further to show his opponent, seated, directly behind the corner pocket Earl is aming at. He is sitting next to a card table covered in poker chips and cards.

A moment before Earl shoots the opponent crosses his legs in an exhaggerated fashion. Earl miscues and misses the 9 ball completely.

Earl raises up, clearly very angry.

STRICKLAND - "Gimmie my f*&#@ng money, you sharked me you f&*(@ing sh&$#ead!"
OPPONENT - "Yeah? Come and get it old man, I got all you need right here"

Opponent tears off shirt, revealed a muscluar but hairless cheast, drenched in sweat. He kicks aside the small card table, scattering cards and chips everywhere. He grabs his cue and twirls it around his back and drops into a combat stance.

Earl bellows something unintelligable and leaps up onto the table in a single bound. He jumps off the end of the table diving at the opponent arms outstretched.

Tight close up of Earls face, distorted in rage. Freeze frame.

SFX - Graphical letters drop down like slabs of metal, bang, bang, bang:
"POOL", "POKER", "PAIN"

-----------

Blair, let's talk baby. Have your people call my people, we'll do lunch sometime.

This is the reality show that I posted about some time back. We have a huge list of people interested in participating.

I will keep you all informed as I know what's going on.

I think by adding the "fighting" aspect along with it it takes away alot from the show. I can understand some people have a background in it, but the vast majority of the pool players I know don't. Point in fact some of the stronger "older" players out here in San Diego you could push over with a toothpick.. LOL Get em on a card table, or a pool table though and they'll beat ya like a red headed step child.

I dunno.. I wish the fight portion of it wasn't there, but I'm not the one trying to put together a show either so I suppose that's their choice.

I would think they could do some hidden cameras in pool halls though, or even those little tiny cameras that they can hide in peoples hats, shirts etc.. and go out and hustle on the road a bit. I wouldn't mind watching that at all! I think overal talent on a pool table, card table, and then talent of "hustling" would be the 3 categories I'd rate them on.
