Pool Related Thankfulness...

I was thinking of some of the things related to pool that I am thankful for and these lept to my mind.

My GC1 is looking and playing about as perfect as a table can thanks to RKC for his magnificent cobrasizing and very recently Jay Speilberg for tweaking and reclothing her.

I am thankful to have found my lifetime player and so between my table and this cue, everything that goes wrong is squarely on me. Equipment excuses are gone.:o:wink:

I am thankful for my pool friends (many here, too) with whom I have so much fun.

I'm thankful for AZ; such a great place to get info and interact.

I am thankful for technology that allows us to watch streamed events that we used to only be able to read about.

What are some of yours?

Happy Thanksgiving, friends!

best,
brian lc

Good thread.
I'm thankful I don't live any further north. This cold crap is driving me batty as it is, I'd really lose it in Canada or Alaska.

Join us tomorrow evening after your face is stuffed with Turkey and pie for our special "give thanks" episode of American Billiard Radio.

I'm thankful for the book Play Great Pool. Before Derby last year my game had plateaued years ago and I never thought I could get any better. Actually I thought I could never get back to the level I played at in college when I played every day. Since getting that book and really working on my game I'm playing better than ever. I have a long way to go still but I know I can get to an A player level. I'm also thankful for having good friends that play pool and have a desire to play better.

Good thread!

I'm thankful for the 9' tiger striped maple table I found on craigslist and traded a McIntosh amp & and small amount of cash for.... (it came with 4 element light, Aramith Super Pro balls, a beautiful custom cue case, a couple of pool balls signed by Earl & the Black Widow, and some cool framed pool photos)

I'm thankful for the Raschig 9-ball set that is on its way from Germany as I'm typing this... (Sold my previous set three years ago, regretted that since the day Tony Crosby set up my table in the house).

I'm thankful for my wonderful hitting Schon, McDermott, Espiritu & Gunn cues... which all play so great in their own "little" way and keep me swapping out trying to figure out which I like best. I think I'm a just a fickle beee-atch when it comes to pool cues. (makes for a potentially expensive habit)

I'm thankful to have five top-quality pool halls within 15 minutes of my house, including Strokers in Palm Harbor. :)

And most of all, I'm thankful for my wife and son, who are my #1 pool cheerleaders. :)

And I'm thankful for AZBilliards, for providing me with more pool related drama than I could ever imagine on my own. ;)

I am thankful for my family and all of the various extensions of it. Especially thankful for my three grand kids and the fourth one on the way.
