I thought this was a joke at first but apparently not. I don’t see how the game will be a challenge for Fedor unless I’m missing something in the rules.

For pool to be successful, it has to be presented in a non boring way. I appreciate good pool as much as the next guy, but watching alternate breaks with no one running racks is boring...almost like paint drying...hopefully someone can figure this out because until pool becomes a staple on TV, it will stay small potatoes.

Cage fight to decide who breaks before each game.

Haven't people learned that having new versions of cue sports has never worked? People want their 8 ball and 9 ball.
I watched the video, rules are convoluted, points scoring, different pockets for different sides. Clearly, they did not heed the lessons of Bonus Ball. Whoever is watching it can't just go "hey I feel like playing down at the local pub now" like you can when watching normal pool. It reminds me a bit of this

So, they're saying Fedor & Jennifer will be teamed vs. Johnny & Jeanette?

This counts as pool?

Pro Cue is the modernized cuesports game played by the PCL. The game is played with nine billiard balls of three different colours purple (4), orange (4) and black (1).

A player will continue their turn until they fail to leagally pocket a ball or commit a foul. To keep gameplay manageable and timing predictable, each game is timed at 15 minutes with a shot clock in place to limit stalling.

The objective of the game is to reach 30 points by pocketing balls in a specific order: purple, orange, black. Each legally pocketed purple ball is worth one point, orange two points and black is three points.

What boomer put this together? They have links to Facebook, Twitter, Insta, and YouTube at the bottom of their website. Are they links to their accounts on each of those platforms? No. They’re links to the homepages of each of those platforms. 😂

Yes I don’t understand the crummy content (even the video looked like a middle school kid made it in Illustrator) and lack of things like full rules. I imagine buying a 30 min block of airtime on ESPN2 isn’t cheap so I’m surprised the launch was so poorly executed.

I assume the black ball spots up after potting like in snooker, but it’s not clear when a rerack occurs or what happens when someone misses a ball (if you make orange and then miss the purple, am I shooting orange or purple)? Based on the rules I would expect these players to run out most of the time by hitting 30 points quickly.

Is the cue ball CGI? Why did they make it filthy dirty in the opening montage?

I think this makes ESPN less relevant to pool rather than more.

No InnerWebz footprint of the organization. I wonder how much they are paying ESPN to carry their remarkable programming.

Anyone know who/what Frank Occhino is? That's the channel of the YouTube video which has almost 200 views...

Thank God! When I saw that cornhole had a place on ESPN, but not pool I damn near had an aneurysm.
Nobody tell him about pickleball. SHHHHHH!

Is this CJ's game? He was harping some new game 6 or so months ago. I watched a few seconds of it on YouTube and turned it off.
His game was 6 ball rotation with a mandatory push after the break. It's not much different than the Sharks format, except Sharks uses 9 balls. I'm not sure about this game, I'm not sure what it offers, other than novelty. They should have gone with my game, Four-Pocket.
