Does the room where you normally play rent storage lockers? I know that main street in Mesa Arizona use to rent lockers that would hold a 3 x 6 case maximum, and nothing else. Cae was like $30.00/six months, and a years was $55.00.

Does you room rent lockers, how much, and what size are they?

Amsterdam Billiards has lockers that hold 2x4. $60 for one year and $100 for two (or something along those lines). Seriously, I'm amazed by how cheap it is. If it were my business, I'd charge $10/month and have the amount automatically deducted from the customer's credit card.

That is very cheap, and I think $10.00/month is reasonable for NYC, when you consider the price of a good deli sandwich.

I paid ~$25.00 in 1997 for a rental of a locker that holds 4 3x6 cases and maybe a couple of soft cases. I haven't been asked for another payment since that time. :)

There is now a new manager, same owner, so that may be changing soon. :(

It's Like A Parking Lot, Valet Parking Or Car Washes, etc.

Be VERY careful renting a poolroom locker. The policy in most poolrooms is "We Are NOT Responsible Or Held Libel For The Loss Or Theft Of Any Items In A Rented Locker"... (or words to that effect)

I saw some expensive cues go missing and the poolroom was not held responsible.

Lockers at Pacific are $50/year iirc. They are about 12" wide, 36" tall, and maybe 24" deep, much like a half-height locker at a swimming pool.

Talk about flying under the radar. Will they ever catch up with you?

Metro Sports has some lockers. I think it was about $30 a year or something pretty cheap. They are located over by the Dart Boards.

The room in my town, before it closed, had 40 or so lockers, and I believe they were like
$5 a year. I'm the one that installed the locks on them (twice), so mine was free.
Why twice? KA-type (keyed alike) were mistakenly bought first in which case, all
the keys were the same! :)

I visited the Boston Billiard club (Worcester, MA) a couple months ago, and they got rid of
their beautiful mahogany and brass lockers, to make room for a stage for comedy events,
and the like. :(

Another room, which you might say is "my" room, charges the $5 that the lock costs.
But it is a run-down room, and I would not trust anything but the cheapest cue in them.

Agree with this 100%. I would never leave my cues sitting in a pool hall locker, rather take them with me and know they are safe. Also gives you the ability to go out and shoot somewhere else without having to "go get your cues". Never understood the whole locker thing.

We have about 20 lockers I guess.:) 12 big ones that two people can share like a gym locker and 8 small ones big enough for a couple soft cases. We do not charge anything for these. Just ask that people give them up if they are not coming in anymore or not using them. I would find it hard to think ANY store would be liable for the contents of the locker. According to most insurance policies you cannot insure someone else's property.

I offer lockers free to my regular customers who purchase a monthly membership. The lockers I provide are 2ft wide by 3ft high, like the small gym type lockers. My monthly membership is $60 a month and it covers play from 12:30 pm until 6:00 pm 7 days a week.

Would that be at Anezah Sands?? The only place I "rented" a locker at was LV Cue Club and they only asked for a $10.00 key deposit.

Yep. Sands West.

One nice things about locker rentals is in the summer or winter months, I would not have to keep my cues in my car. I like to drive to the pool hall right after work and I dont want temperature changes messing with my cues or someone breaking into my car, so I prefer to leave them at the pool hall. There pool hall near me with lockers charges 5 bucks a month

Gallery Billiards in Newburgh NY would give you a locker no charge if your a regualar, now thats good business. :)
