I was just wondering if I am the only one having this problem? Time and time again I come home and find cloths on top of the pool table and I can not play pool until I move the cloths the wife has spread all over the pool table. Anyone out there have any creative ideas or preventive measures other than taking the wife out behind the the old wood shed????

If we did not have that pool table cover this would not be an issue after she finds chalk stains on one of her good blouses or designer outfits!!!!

A) lose the cover and add extra chalk
B) make a statement and throw your dirty clothes on top of something of hers, like her vainity.

A friend of mine says that we should stop calling it a pool "table". If it is called a table people think they can put anything they want on it. Tell your wife the "Billiards Playing Arena" must be kept clear!

It took me the better part of 25 years and getting to my 3rd marriage before I was able to install a pool table in my home. My bride knows how important it is to me and if she put clothes on it then I know she needed to for some reason and wouldn't question her doing so. Perhaps your bride doesn't understand how important it is to you and how disturbing to you when you find clothes piled on it. Or perhaps you haven't given her a place to put them. Or perhaps you need to do the laundry every once in a while. :D

My point is, look at it from her POV first and then share yours.

Just my 2 cents.

As long as I don't have help with the laundry, clothes on the table is a problem I could live with.

Yeah right..plus a signboard 'out of bounds, trespassers will be prosecuted'.

Tell her you find it upsetting to use a pool table for that sort of thing. Ask her to never use it for anything but pool (then make sure you don't use it for anything but pool). Make sure there is no anger in your voice.

"Honey, I need your help with something. I need you to not use the pool table for anything but playing pool. I know it's probably petty of me to ask you to not fold clothes on it but it upsets me. Please help me out by not folding or stacking clothes on the table."

Obviously, she does this because she is in need of a table.

Ask her what would meet her needs, then build or buy one for her.

When you have done this, ask her to refrain from using the pool arena as a table.

The way I see it is, she did the hard part (the washing and folding) maybe you should do the putting away.

Tell her the table is for playing pool and sexing, not laundry! If that doesn't work out for you perhaps take the hint and help her fold and put away the clothes:D:D:D
