Who ever answers this question gets to make up the next question.

The biggest change to game of pool happened in 1839 ?
What happened that force players to play at a much higher skill level in 1839 ?

I'll play Mike...Was it by any chance, driving an object ball or the cue ball to a rail, after contact?.. I have a feeling that may have occurred somewhat later on!

My question...
Who won the very first Jansco Bros. 'Pool Jamboree' tournament?

Trick question, had to be you

Was 1839 when they began using natural rubber cushions?

"Goodyear discovered vulcanization of rubber in 1839 and by 1845 it was used to make billiard cushions"

Discovering squirt, swerve, and pivot points?????

"Edwin Kentfield was really ahead of the ball game. In 1839 he wrote diagrams
clearly illustrating squirt and swerve, and a cue's pivot point."

And opened up a production facility on a distant planet, managed by a guy named Spock.
The planet's name was?......wait for it...... :D

Little known fact, Tramp....
The first vulcanized rubber was when Spock went hill/hill in a best of three sets match for the championship of his planet....the rules were that every shot had to be played in a logical manner....Spock won but was disqualified because his opponent claimed his shot on the five-ball wa a 'white flag'.

And that is how Spock ended up hooking up with the Canadian Kirk.....
...'cause Canucks go for everything...

....and THAT is the rest of the story

(deleted: took me forever to think of a question and by the time I posted, someone had already given the answer.)

Chuck you are the man .
Before 1839 the you couldn't do a bank shot.

I didn't know Fitzpatrick was that old.....his pool hall name was 'Rags'.....
....and that was what the cushions were stuffed with before rubber was invented....
....now THAT was a good year......:)
