I'll probably be heading to Plainfield, IN this weekend, a suburb of Indianapolis. I was wanting some info on the better poolhalls in Indianapolis. I'm not looking to do any major gambling or anything. Just a place to find some cheap 5 or 10 a game action or maybe some 50 sets. Thanks.

Airport billiards on west 10 st.
perhaps Executive billiards 5000 block N Keystone

Do you know what type of equipment they have? Diamonds or Gold Crowns?

Airport Billiards gets smoky. If u are looking for unusual experiences or experience unusual feelings you should go to executive billiards. That is where u meet the real players.
chalkies is for yuppies and executive billiards is for real pool players. :D

I play about 50 min. south of Indy in Batesville, a small but nice pool room. It has 2 barboxes, 1 9'-er, and 1 snooker table. I'll play you cheap on either pool tables and if you want I'll try you some 10 or 20 cent a point snooker. On thursdays a few of us get together and play ring game snooker from 1pm to about 7pm for 10 cent a point. Thursdays is $2 an hour snooker day if you can make it. It's a nice town.

Vagabond,
Actually Airport is now a NON-SMOKING establishment.

It has 9, 9-foot GC's, 2 billiards tables, and 1 10 foot snooker table. There is almost always action available. While action may also be available at Executive, the better players are at Airport (and safer conditions as well).

I didn't know it had went non-smoking. Good news from my perspective anyway, but I know it may not be that way for everyone. Also, I would very much agree with the latter half of that statement.

Are either of those 21 and older only? I looked into some places awhile ago and forget which one's minors can go to or not.

On the subject of local pool halls has anyone played at mr. and miss cue? I was at the tournament at the adams mark saturday and some guy heard me talking about not being able to play at most places becuase I'm under 21 and said that mr. and miss cue allows all ages.

Mr. and Miss Cue's is not a bad place at all. That is usally where my friends and I meet up to play when I'm around the Greenwood area. They allow minors there. As far as I know Airport Billiards allows minors as well.

That's great, I'll have to go check those places out sometime soon, I heard they have an 8ball tourney every sunday night at miss cue so I think I'll try and check that out.

Chalkies is going to start running 9 ball tournys every Sunday. Diamond tables 8' and 9'. Not sure which they will use.

Not sure when it will start. If your interested just call and ask.
