Quite a few years ago, I will guess 18, I ordered a practice drill kit called Poolino. It consisted of drill diagrams and 18 flat rubber magnets and 18 plastic pins. You set these magnets and pins up in patterns and then place balls around them and the idea is to pocket the balls with out knocking over the pins. The pins are tipped over with even the lightest hit of the cb or object ball because the magnets are very weak. I have found a web site for these kits so I know they are still out there. I was wondering if anyone here has ever heard of Poolino or tried it. At first I thought of these drills as kind of a joke but they bring my game up more then most other drills I have used. These drills are very good for cue ball control and teach you the importance of good shape quickly. They also help with figuring out speed control especially with fast cloth.

I will throw in a few huge pics to help with my weak discription:o.

That's pretty neat ... although I'd be tempted to make a bowling game out of them.

I like it. Did you find that it helped? How long did it take until you could get thru the position drill? Are the instructions well written?

This drill helps me a lot. The directions are good enough and there are quite a few different drills starting from very basic all the way to the hardest and thats the one you see on my pics and videos. On my old table (a nine foot Olhausen) the pockets were easier but the table did not play as perfectly as this Diamond so even though I ran more tables with my first set up I did not learn as much as I have playing this drill with my new set up. This drill requires concentration. The day I shot this I was the only one home;) and that made a big difference. I do not play combos in this game so I had plenty of failures.
