PoolRoger - Do Not Deal with them

On the 12th of April, i came across this website,

http://www.poolroger.com/

and placed an order for a JB flowers 2x4 case. The invoice was sent, my card was billed, Order #2, all seemed fine. At this point, i have to point out that the website stated that the case was In Stock. Today is the 1st of May 2013 and i have yet to receive any news on shipping. I did trace my order on the website but it only receives an OPEN status everything i check.

In the midst of it all, i left messages and emails on the website but nothing was replied to. I even managed to add the owner Andrey Lebedinskiy onto skype. Initially he replied that he would check with his shipping team but soon, the replies would cease. He was still online but he did not reply to any of my messages.

I do not believe him to be a scam since he openly posts his address and phone number down.

Address
Business Design Solutions, Inc., Southfield, MI (12 mile btwn southfield and greenfield)
Southfield, MI 48076 ➔
Phone(800) 730-4340

Email : suddenhit@gmail.com

However doing business with him is truly a terrible and frustrating experience. How long does one need to contact their own shipping department? I do not even know if he keeps any of the stock mentioned in his website and perhaps only orders them when a customer orders them. He does not give assurances of shipment dates and i doubt he will stick to them.

I would highly dissuade anyone from ordering from PoolRoger and if you have already done so, all the best to you. Hopefully your experience would be better than mine.

Mr Lebedinskiy, if you happen to read this, which i have posted the link on your Skype. Please do know that this is not the way to conduct a business. Non-reply's to emails or messages is a big no-no. For the sake of future buyers and your own business, please do give me a reply on this matter with a full explanation on what happened to my order as soon as possible. As you know, AZB forums is one of the biggest online community of pool players and i post this thread with the full intention of getting this resolved once and for all. I did mention to you that I needed the case urgently and i shall maintain this.

I hope you are not turning out to be the unscrupulous man behind the business that i project you to be. Since you have decided to maintain your stance of silence and non-reply, i have posted the affair onto Azbilliards. If you still do not decide to keep me updated on what has happened, i would take more action. Rest assured, this is not the end and i would not let it rest as it is.

Sorry to hear and thanks for the heads up

You're right and thanks for the heads up on that site/business. The most frustrating thing is dealing with a business with an outdated site, copy/paste descriptions of the same brand but different product, and of course, lack of communication. Hope things pan out well for you soon man. On my blacklist now.

I contacted the BBB because a non pool related website that took my money and never sent product, never answered calls never responded to my lawyers letter and here is what the BBB came back with after their investigation:

Well they won't return our calls so nothing we can do.

The site remains active and setup to take more credit card orders. Grrrrrrrr!!!!!

I had dealings with the local BBB over a dented deep freeze that I received from a local business

Nothing they could or maybe would do.

What exactly does the BBB do anyway?

He has to contact his Shipping Dept. Tell him to look in the mirror. They often tell you that or other stories to sound bigger than what they are.

They are the shipping dept and the warehouse is in their basement.

I ran into it once. An EBay seller that blamed his shipping dept for sending me the wrong pool cue.

What is a BBB?

I will wait and see for now but my patience is wearing thin. I'm not sure if i am able to claim back the money or anything but rest assured something will be done about this.

Anyone had such cases in the past? pool or non pool related? How did you deal with them?

It could be a 16 year old kid and his dad is the shipping team and the garage is his warehouse.

The address you posted is for a company that does commercial printing. The president of that company is Dmitriy Lebedinskiy. Maybe the Andrey Lebedinskiy is his kid? If so, maybe try contacting the Dmitriy guy about it, and let him know that this Andrey guy is using his business' address and information to scam people out of billiard related items.

Better Business Bureau..., if you want their help you have to go to their office and hope you get someone who cares..,

I hope you get your case.

They're a scam organization. They cater to their members and not the general public that needs help.

I had a legitimate complaint and all I received is excuses. Not hard to figure out.

Just contact your credit card company and have them reverse the charge. Problem solved.

you are only half right

The BBB is a scam. They cater to nobody but the BBB. The yearly membership a business pays buys you a plaque to go on the wall. That is thousands of percent mark-up, not bad if you can get it! The BBB makes an occasional phone call about an issue but doesn't seek a fair resolution.

Just wanted you to know they screw the businesses just as bad as they do the consumer and the businesses pay a hell of a lot more for the privilege!

The BBB is a trade group that provides ratings but has no teeth when it comes to fraud.

And it is true that if you dispute the charges your credit card company will reverse the charge so there will be no cost to you. But many people don't comply with the requirements to do so and that's why these fraudulent operations exist. They count on the stupidity and laziness of a certain percentage of the population to skim off their illegal profits.

The Federal government provides an avenue to file complaints against companies such as this. While individual complaints may not lead to investigation or criminal charges they are used to determine if charges will be filed against a company. In other words if they get enough complaints there is a better chance that criminals will go to jail or provide refunds. Go to their website here:

https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov

Here is a resource that lists the requirements that mail order businesses must comply with. It pays to educate yourself:

http://business.ftc.gov/documents/bus02-business-guide-mail-and-telephone-order-merchandise-rule

In addition most states have their own "Division of Consumer Affairs", it may go by another name so do a little research for your state. They are generally more responsive to individual complaints.

As a retired LEO I have a special place in my heart for scammers and thieves and I, for one, am relentless in reporting their activity and doing my best to shut them down.

Good luck.

Yup, only thing worse than them is Angie's List

For future reference,if a business isn't a member of the better business bureau, the BBB can't help you with claims against them.

And if a business is a BBB member, they WON'T help you. They don't bite the hand that feeds them. The BBB is a con game.

Can't help either way

They can't help either way. They can flag complaints whether a business is a member or not. They can make phone calls too, again doesn't have to be a member. The only time I can remember them calling me was when a moron tried to blackmail me with the BBB after trying to scam me, I wasn't a member. They actually invested two phone calls on that issue but that was in the early seventies. Told them I'd be damned if I would be scammed or blackmailed. End of story. In the early eighties I bought a business with a dozen new BBB plaques in a file drawer, they never even bothered hanging them. I don't hang them either so no reason paying big dollars for a plaque.
