Poolrooms In Washington D.C.

Can't remember the name of the place, but by DuPont Circle is a pool hall that has about 15 tables, good food, There was a circulator that I could catch in George town , $1.00, also off the red line stop in Alexandra there is a bar pool hall around 8 with a private , just across from the Holiday inn, don't waste your time at Carpool in Clairton.

Go to Top hat during the day, it is packed most of the time.

Quick update for any other out of towners that might want to check out the seen. I've been in the DC area for about a little over a month now, and I've been to most of the rooms in this thread.

Tournaments are in short supply but the best I've seen are Thursday nights at First Break and Saturday nights at Triple 9's. Attendance has been down at First Break, but if you show up, you should be able to find a cheap game. Triple 9's has some goofy tables, but good players are there every Saturday for the tourney...I basically ran out a set on a guy in the tournament and he immediately asked to gamble.

Quball 1 is the spot if you want to play some 1-hole. Seriously, don't go anywhere else for 1-pocket.

Don't waste your time going to Waldorf for the Wednesday tournament. The tables are horrible and there are only 2. Why anyone would run a tournament on two tables is beyond me. A decent player should win the tournament pretty handily and claim the $50 pot though.

Big Daddy's is closed indefinitely. I've only been to Top Hat once but the tables were really nice. The place was dead though when I was there. I'd like to know what day is best to go to Top Hat if Anyone is willing to share.

I was visiting the area last month from philly. I went to Cueball 1 and liked it a lot. Found a 1hole game quickly and bunch of friendly guys.

You are talking about Buffalo Billiards in DuPont. I like to go there on weekends to practice because they open early, but I have to mention, it feels like a college frat house

Qball 1 is excellent! Best tables in the area. Scruffy 1/john burns extended the rails and maintained them. Owner is great! Best playing conditions around. Simonois cloth. Awesome and safe!

Hey OP. Since others are bumping your thread (that you never responded to),
how about an appearance and a report?

Well, I don't know about special occasion, but I'll be at First Break tonight

I was hoping to make it out, but I had gymnastics tonight...well, the daughters did, anyway!

Shit is always getting in my pool way:o

How long you in town for? Where are you staying?

I'll be around through March at least. I'm staying in Camp Springs, but I don't mind driving all over the city for good pool. I'm trying fit SBE into the schedule, but work comes first.
