Popsicle Stick and Rubber Band?

I overheard a Master player coaching a low B player on his fundamentals - mainly his wrist and how it moves all over when he's stroking through his shot. I've heard different methods to fix this but never heard this particular one.

Has anyone ever heard of using a rubber band and popsicle stick as a means to teach yourself to keep your wrist straight when stroking?

No, but I have heard something similar in using a bowlers glove/brace thingy. The rubber band and popsicle stick is probably cheaper lol!

I've been thinking of wearing my carpal tunnel wrist splints during informal
practice to find out if any improvement would result. Now, I definitely will.

I was taught, years and years ago that a good method of practising your stroke at home was to cue through a matchbox to ensure your stroke is straight and true

You can stick a ball point pen underneath your watch when you're practicing putting to help eliminate wrist movement. Don't see why it wouldn't work in a billiards application.

Im shocked that stroke thru the beer bottle neck had not been mentioned..... That's how I was taught....I've some how years ago I picked up the loco-motive pump stroke but don't realize I'm doing it....that's how I roll but I'm cool with it.

Why can't the wrist move? Some of the best players I have seen incorporate pronounced movement into their strokes.

Avoid the Pro Shot Glove........I just bought two of them last week and they're been returned......terrible....really cheaply made.
The velcro straps un-ravelled into loose strands after the first day of use. The glove sells for $26 and probably cost less than $2 or $3.

Unfortunate because they do look well made from the pics.

If you went to a Pharmacy, I bet they would have several types of wrist braces.

If you wanted to, you could even wrap a tensor bandage around your wrist to immobilize it a bit.
