Possibly WTB White Diamond tips

I have been hearing a lot about these tips.
Have never used one.

What is all the fuss about these tips?

Who has some for sale at a good price?

I just got a Mace J/B and have thought about trying another tip on it.

I still have one of the old Moori Power tips that I was thinking about putting on the cue but figured I would investigate the White Diamond first.

LMK what you guys think.

They are among the super-hard tips, but hold chalk better than a standard all-in-one-ferrule-tip-combo. I used one on my old breaker and was very satisfied with it. The sound is odd, but that can't be helped with any of those resin- or plastic-tips.

The maker sells them on ebay in packs of three for a little more than 10 USD. I guess you won't get them cheaper anywhere else.

Best regards,

Detlev

apparently you Gorilla Glue works the best for keeping these tips on.
I haven't actually tried it yet, but Ive observed many failures with other adhesives.

I put one on with the Tiger Insta Cure glue four months ago and it's still breaking and jumping great.

white diamond

they are a good tip for both breaking and jumping, but they do damage the cue ball so keep that in mind. I used to use one and was quite happy with it till I realized what they were doing to the cue ball, I have since switched to the Gamma j/b it is all leather and does not harm the cue ball

There's no way this tip is damaging the cue ball. Its to soft.

I've been using one for 2 yrs on my measles ball with no damage.

You must be thinking of a different tip.

No I'm talking about the White Diamond. The tip I was using damaged the measles cue ball in about two weeks. cue ball had several small crescent cracks. I'm glad the one you are using is not doing any damage, but as for me it is the Gamma or Samsara tip from now on

Mace J?B

I have a White Diamond tip on my Mace J/B, it breaks and jumps great. Like many others I got mine from Joe via ebay.

White Diamond Tips

I put one on my Predator BK and one on my custom Jump cue.

I found that it did ok as a breaker, but as a jumper - out of this world!

I have switched to a custom break cue with the 1 piece ferrule/tip like sledgehammers originals, but the white diamond still makes me jump like I know what I am doing.. well sorta.. lol.. :)

The tip gets a thumbs up from me... and I let several of my pool buddies try it and they liked it to.. so no complaints that I can think of.

Tiger is what I use.Has been the best so far.White diamond tip are the shiznit.Puts your confidence level in the red zone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've got 2 X Breakers made by Samsara & 3 shafts. I put a White Diamond tip on one of the shafts, tried it for a while, and went back to one of the shafts with the G10 "type" tip - still not sure what they used. I felt like I lost something on the break with the WD. Have one on a Pred Air, and it's not bad as a plain jumper.
I'm going to switch both shafts over to Samsara's new JB tips & give them a try.

agreed..... I've put on about 2 dozen wd tips, and never had any cueball damamge. It's softer than phenolic, so i can't see how it could damage a resin ball.

Maybe he had a defective measels ball.

Exactly, i've had at least 5 different ones over the yrs, from the old light colored ones to the new slightly darker ones he makes now, and never had a problem with damaging the cue balls.
There is a lot of counterfeit measles balls out there, so that could have been the case.

The damage happens when jumping, the down force on the ball produces the cracks. The measels ball were direct from Aramith so I don't think they are defective or counterfeit.
all I know is what I have experienced, that is the hard tips phenolic/white diamond/g-10 etc... Do damage
