Will queue for cues

A while back there was some discussion that since several of us had gotten cues from Skip at about the same time that we should have a thread all our own where we could all post pictures of our Skip Weston Cues! Well, here is that thread and I'll go first. I just ordered some lighting equipment today so hopefully in a week or so I can actually take some decent pictures of my two Skip's. Here's the one that I recently received:

Edit: I'm attaching the pics to the post so they're still here when I take the pics off my site...lol.

Here's my Skip:

This pic best illustrates the sharpness and even point and veneer work of Skip.

Skip's signature and bushka ring work.

Here's my Skip! I'll see about more detailed pics, but you get the general idea. :D

Lisa

BTW - I spliced two separate scans together; the rings match all the way the cue.

LOL... oh you mean it isnt a custom shorty cue? :D

Wow all nice Skips. Wish I had a camera to post mine but its very similar to Rickys. The only difference is mine is hoppe style and dosent have the windows. All very nice. This is just my opinion but I think Skip is one of the best if not THE best with his pointwork. Every Skip I see the points are all flawlessly even and sharp.

Here is my Skip. Zeeder and Cueaddicts are both familiar with it. It is a different look than most other Skip's I've seen. Sorry about the crappy pics. I've had the worst time photographing this cue. I guess the dark color combo is getting me.

Me too...I have been lusting after that cue for the better part of a year and a half. Still working on the cash end of that one...it will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine. ;)

Lisa

Well mine's not as fancy as most of yours, but I love its simple old school look, and it plays super sweet. I will reiterate the opinion that his points are the best I've seen, rediculously even and sharp. Kudos Skip :D

Crappy pics (it's the one in the middle):

Back off toots I called it J.K. :D

BTW...How do you like your Zac cue? He sure does some nifty work...I love the butterfly cues he did. He is not that far up the road from me, but I am curious.

Lisa

Zachow does some an awesome job. The points are even and sharp, inlays are sharp and a solid hit to boot. Iv seen only three or four of his cues up close and was impressed with all of them. Lot of cue for the money. The only down fall is I will need to have the leather wrap redone soon. When Im ready I think Ill ask Webb or Drexler to redo it since they are closer and do awesome wraps.

Your favorite is my favorite...great looking old school feel with a modern design in the butt sleeve.

(Ride with the winds Skip is in the second set of pics)[/QUOTE]

Thanks so much, Joe! Those pics really showcase my cue much better. Course, I love them all! :)

I like 'your favorite' very much. Those must be the slotted diamonds you referred to in another post. Very nice.

I still kick myself for not buying that cue at a great price when I had the chance!! However, I'm pleased to know that it went to a good home...lol! My damn friend talked me out of it. :( With friends like that who needs enemies?!

That's right! I had forgotten that you were the guy I waited on for what seemed like forever!! ;) Seriously though, I do love the cue. I have never held anything in my hands, to date, that can come close to how well this cue plays. It's like an old friend.
But you have done alright for yourself. You have cues that I would love to have.
