That is a wonderful layout of that Skip, Joe!! You just did that cue some real justice...the natural sunlight really showcases the Kingwood very well.

If that cue hits half as well as the ebony-nosed Skip I had, it's going to play amazingly!!

Great job Joe on showcasing this Skip!!!!!:D :D :D

Thanks folks...

...I appreciate the compliments on the cue and the layout. I think natural light is by far the best lighting to bring out the real color and beauty in the woods. It is a really nice cue and plays just as nicely.

I remember this cue...in fact, I have a pic of it, in a grouping of some of Skip's other cues...including JoeVan's heart Skip. :D

I think I may have that very same photo...lol. I really had to fight my urge to buy that Skip with the segmented handle! I just keep telling myself that my JMW will be done soon and I hope that my urge to buy other cues will subside for a while after that. Exercises in futility are one of my favorite pastimes...lol.

figured this would be a good place to ask about the possible whereabouts of a skip im looking for. I had skip make me a cue back in i think 04 it was ebony spliced into curly maple with ivory spears in each of the 4 points stainless joint hoppe ring on the ebony butt black and white irish linen wrap and maple then verawood (greenish color) satinwood then ebony veneers. I sold it in 05 i believe on ebay and was interested in buying it back so if anyone has any ideas where it is or can help me on the trail let me know since im back playing again and have some money thanks.

I change my cues like I change my underwear. Every few weeks.

Seriously I think this is a keeper. I chased it a long time and I can play with it without a predator shaft. I been playing in a weekly with all killers all playin even 4,5,8 th. If I didn't draw my best friend joe testa early 2 weeks in a row might do better. We could have stayed home and played for free

Dave,
Good for you. When you find the cue you have to stick with it...

Skip Weston Cue are one of the best

Just wanted to update this thread as I've been playing with a skip weston for over 2 years now and I absolutely love the playability of the cue. Skip cues are definitely made for players and it's one of those cue that once you pick it up....you don't want to let it go. My skip has a purple heart forearm with an ivory joint 3/8-10 and two of the best shaft wood money can buy.

I'm looking for more skip weston cue with ivory joint and have a few cues available for trade.

Regards,
Duc.
