I am in Reno at the USPPA event and will be here all week. Diana is not here, so I will not have any photos from the event. Since I have phone access on the tournament floor though, I will be able to update each round or close to it.

If you get a chance, could you introduce yourself to Bill Houck and Wayne Pullen and tell them I said hello and good luck.

Also, let Wayne know you run the Azbilliards website. He is a big fan of this site...follows along with tournaments all the time.

They are both really good friends of mine.

I see Tony Annigoni is doing well on his first two matches.
Just wondering (after reading Playing Off The Rail), how often does he enter tournaments over there.
 
Tony is a rep. for the USPPA. He plays in a lot of their events. I was harassing him last night about not letting an opponent win a game and he said that putting him in charge of a pool tournament was like putting a vampire in charge of a blood bank.

Needless to say, he is feeling real good right now.

Tony has entered USPPA tournaments for many years in Reno and also enters the Pro tournament that follows.

The players meeting for the pro event will take place tomorrow night. Rafael Martinez and Ernesto Dominguez are already here. Johnny Archer called and said he would be in late tomorrow. Ralf Souquet is already signed up, as well as quite a few top west coast players.

Obviously there are some big names in there but it doesn't seem to be the same sort of event it was in the 1990's, like Efren and Earl in the Finals. Also, why don't Accu-Stats go to this tournament anymore.
 
I am not sure. I will have to ask Tony tomorrow.

Just saw Santos come in and pay for his entry. He mentioned that Edgar Acaba was also going to play.
