Practical demonstration of cue tip path with a Pendulum stroke.

Doesn't the QMD provide this information to you in real time using your actual stroke?
Yes, quantum molecular dynamics provides very detailed info, but it's hard (at least for me) to do that calculation in real time using my actual stroke.

Lol what the hell? I made that post in 2013 I think.

Hi, I will pray for you. That is not actually a straight line, just a representation of one. Nice try and I do appreciate your efforts.

P.S. Can you tell I have been drinking?
P.P.S. That was a rhetorical question.
P.P.pppp.S. I could not find the green ink.

Better you praying then Uncle Pervey.

I hope I'm as funny as you when I turn 93 :grin-square::grin-square:

Making fun of a messenger does not change the reality of the message & models that are not fully representative of the the human physiology are not accurately indicative of what actually happens in real life.

but some are more easily fooled by such tactics & false 'proof'.

Best Wishes to ALL.

Maybe by the time you are 93 you will have matured enough to know the difference between real humor & making fun of someone as a distraction in the line of attacking the messenger instead of dealing with the reality of a message that one simply does not like or understand.

Maybe you will have also learned about gangs, band wagons, & bully tactics by then too.

The earth is round was made fun of & then it became those that say the earth is flat that got & get made fun of.

Best Wishes to ALL.

Take a look at the Side View animation near the bottom of the QMDs web site (www.cue-md.com). This is an example of a slight elbow drop, notice the butt of the cue starts to drop slightly at the end of the backstroke and keeps dropping on the forward stroke. A QMD recording of a proper pendulum stroke would show the butt rising during the back stoke then leveling off during the forward stroke. QMD is a good tool for diagnosing various flaws you may have in your stroke. It shows you what's happening, though how to fix any problems is up to you and/or your instructor.

That looks like a valuable tool. I have not seen that before.

But it is only as valuable as the programming & sensitivity allows.

I would guess that it is fairly accurate though.

It appears to be indicating an up stroke that very many say is impossible.

Is the time of contact with the ball accurately recorded or is it an estimation based on a set position & then based off of the backward movement?

Thanks is advance for any further info.

Best to All.

It appears to not show th stroke past the point of contact. Can that be adjusted to show the full stroke?

The QMD (www.cue-md.com) tracks the orientation of your cue stick during the entire stroke (from set to finish), typically around 90-100 'frames' per second. It does assume that the cue stick is level and pointing at center of cue ball at the set position, so it's showing you the deviations of your cue stick from where it was at the set position. QMD does not currently track your follow through after contact.

Even duct tape can't fix stupid But it can muffle the sound.

P.S. Oh never mind.
