Practice practice practice

Camera day🤷: Lefty's found a shot that had never even been considered in this late shot position. Have found success with the cross side bank with billiard on the 5.
This morning I took a look at the cross corner with force follow and Lefty tried it. Made the bank and rolled whitey to snuggle up to the back of the 5 ball and two points.🎉 First Try!!

Evolution: My morning fitness exercise evolves, depending on my physical and mental needs.
Currently my Cold Open is Slow Kiss with high run attempt by first successful shooting hand. Lefty has the record at 11 with 4-5 before missed being average. Once the record attempt is dispatched, I go to a race to 10 same challenge. With High runs possible.
Prevailing hand taking one point to The Chase, with 16 positions. At complete I record the results and cover the table.😁
My current physical therapy allow more power from Lefty but still limited. So the hanging ball is still a valid double along with billiard after pocketing balls.
My statistition says after 70 sessions, the score is...... Lefty 37 and Right 33. I like that considering I am right handed.

Lacking access to the Champion of Champions match has me watching The digested version on YouTube.
There is always the entertainment value but that's deminished because I know the result.
Selby's open provides a break of 140. Lots of good stuff. Higgins first pot in the second frame provides a good look at his eye movements on a long straight pot.
Back to the video..... perhaps a little 3 ball during commercials.🤔

My conclusion

Could be

that my Chase Challenge is

better suited to precision over power.

Poops I hit an unfamiliar button. Oh well can live with the format.🤷
Perhaps a more accurate assessment is.... that the Right is not utilizating power advantage.
Yes, that's the ticket. I will go with that and report in another 70 days.😉🤪

Champion of Champions is on DAZN: I popped the $20 for a month and got my money's worth in the first match between Trump and Brecel.
Joe Perry and Mark Allen are next with the winner vs Jud after that.

Good morning Starshine: No uh I mean sunshine. Oh but still cold.
The matches Champion of Champions, were so good I declared a holiday. More at 11: 45

Watching the 2 young Cadets, (not sure of anything else to call Academy students. Oh yeah Students.) Was priceless. The YouTube recaps don't approach.🤷
Selby and Trump at 11:45. Don't bother Grumpy, I mean Gramps or even That Old C.S.🤷

Flavor of the day is Restrictor plate. As in races. The hat. Starting with cueball only, for brim height. (So proud of my new bumper in the hat. Fits inside the baseball cap for $12). Can't help but remember the joke about the new boots. With the punch line, "shoulda bought a hat".🤷
Anyway watching Mink yesterday was inspiring. What she does with precision over power!!!🤔🤪🤔 Lefty jumping out running to 8. Cue ball only.

The two students of Academy and Ronnie mentioned Academy and association with one. Then watch them!!!!!! Ronnie mentioned Robotics. They have the mechanics. Just need......the Seasoning?
I so noticed the different appearance of Mink from start to finish. Her Mona Lisa smile lasts. Then her expression became like.....well around here it would be rattle snake. Mink is definitely a predator.

Have you watched any of Savannah Easton matches on YouTube? She's only 11 years old but the way she consistently addresses shots is really something to see. Her demeanor and attitude is strong. A Very talented player and kind of blows your mind how good she plays and stays composed at such a young age. I wish I could evaluate and execute the shots as comfortably as it seems she does.

I first saw her play at the Predator Canada Open and she has a newer match at the Seybert's Michigan Open. Highly recommended. Her attitude is just great. She evaluates the situation and then executes. Her form is very consistent. I can't wait to see how strong she becomes in upcoming years.

She is news to me. Sounds interesting! Is she playing pool ? Or perhaps snooker. Not sure of the money potential in either. Mink is 21 or 22 and should have sponsored potential. Would love to see her elevation of Ladies monies.

She's playing pool.

Ships Log:
Lefty open with a 10 which includes 3 consecutive double s. Perhaps I like my new glasses. They're helping more than the hat.🤷
Could be going back to my competition shaft😉
Most likely just inspired.

Could be the new aiming point.
Top secret: I aimed for the exit hole on the back of the cue ball. Mink got me thinking.🤷
Today's lesson has potential. Same Bat Time same Bat Channel.😁

I ran across a webpage that has a nifty look at practice & some good ideas about developing a better routine, one that is fruitful...

https://www.dashe.com/blog/instructional-design/four-phases-of-learning/

Have a looksee
I looked. It makes sense. It reminds me of the progress I noticed in players that had good competition with friends. It enhances progress having competition that's enjoyable.
Putting the left against the right is my solo attempt at friendly competition.🤷😁

Feedback: or is it Data. Analysis for sure. By aiming for the back of the cue ball, I am observing the contact point and path. I should know if it was as intended.
My 3 ball break gives me the best chance to calibrate my instrument.😉🤷
The action of the cue ball after impact is telling. Telling me exactly where I struck the ball. If as expected all's well, if not? I play Sherlock.

It's Finger and Eye Coordination, not hand and eye.😉
Control is more important than power on the break. Cole taught me that! at a time when power break in 9 ball was the fad. I knew some that had amazing power on the break at full speed their accuracy declined.
My 3 ball break needs to be powerful enough to take all 3 balls to a pocket. Perhaps 80%? Depends on the equipment. However in practice I will go for 100% Which gives me the best Feedback.

Stephen Hendry lesson 1. Should take at least 3 weeks with 1 week for each of the Big 3. Platinum for sure.
Falls right in perfect alignment with my goals towards perfect performance. I would point out a mechanical issue "Club" pool players fall in is the Loop Bridge. It impares the sighting down the cue. Long barrel for the long shots. A player that needs the loop is weak in the Basics.🤷
