predator 1080 chalk.

I received them this week, not something special, the octagonal shape gives you the feeling of something new and different when you chalk, i like it thought!

I bought some about a week ago.I love it.It is by far better than masters.I have the kamui .98 and while the kamui is a softer chalk the predator seems to have the same properties(sticking to the tip).I will definetly be using the predator from now on. The chalk is octanonal in shape so if you use a pocket chalker I don`t think it will fit in it.

Give it try to fit it in a pocket chalk it may fit good it measures 1"x1" octagon

It will fit in a pocket chalker. Seems to be pretty good chalk. I've been using Blue Diamond and Balabushka, and this seems as good, if not better.

From the descriptions, it should be smoother than Masters. I bought my son a package of this chalk as a christmas gift (along with a break/jump cue and some random pool stuff) and can't wait to try it with him. We both like the Balabushka/Magic/Blue Diamond chalks better than Masters, the Predator chalk looks to be in that range as well. Masters seems very gritty after using the other higher end chalks.

I've been using 1080 for 2 weeks now.At first i thought it was too hard but after a couple of days it's working out real nice.I was using NIR before because it seemed softer than blue diamond and this chalk is about the same.Through my supply co. i get it cheaper than blue diamond and NIR so i'm going to be using it from now on.Great chalk so go for it......Rick.

I can make a custom pocket chalker that predator 1080 chalk will fit in..

Bought some the other day, thought I'd do my own chalk tests. Blue Diamond, Master, Balabushka, Predator and Kamuii. For the money, the balabushka seems to be the best for the money. Coats great and is "sorta-kinda" similar to Kamuii in design. I'm not saying it is Kamuii, but it coats very similar to Kamuii. I love the Kamuii chalk, but I'm not paying that much for a piece of chalk. The predator chalk just doesn't seem to coat and stick as well as the Bushka. In order of my testing, Kamuii, Bushka, BD, Predator, Master. But whatever works best for you, go for it.

chalk

Because I make chalk holders I have found out that not all cubes of chalk are the same size.

A few years ago my mother sent me some chalk for a Christmas gift.
She bought the chalk from walmart and the name on it is sportscraft.

and it is the exact same size as _ _ _ _ _

I liked it, ,however not as well as the Blue Diamond or The Balabushka. I felt it was very similar to the NIR Super Professional, a little dusty

i used it this past week and i liked it, i havent tested it 100% but I think it would pass the test.

Sorry don't see the difference..I rarely mis cue with masters so I just don't see what the big difference is.

Where did you find Balabushka? I had some a few years ago and loved it but I ran out of it and haven't seen it since.

I felt the same way as you...for a long time. Then my friends had some different chalk, I thought they were crazy, chalk is chalk. A good buddy gave me a box of Blud Diamond...It set in my case for a few months and finally tried it. It coated better than Masters and even though chalking often is a habit, it was better chalk than the Masters. A few weeks ago I ordered some stuff from Seyberts and bought the Predator and Balabushka chalk and decided to see for myself which one best suit my needs. I'm going to start playing with the Balabushka chalk. Maybe it's a mind thing, but the Balabushka chalk stays on better and longer. I still have some Kamuii chalk, but in my mind, $30 for a piece of chalk is crazy. Yes, it's amazing chalk, stays on for multiple shots, but at that pricepoint, I'm no champion and a piece of chalk isn't going to make me a champ.

Spend $25 and get the Predator, BD and Bushka, test them out yourself. If they help your game, even if mentally, it may be worth it.

I got a piece a few months back and was not impressed. I concur with you sentiments.

I will stick with Blue Diamond and Magic.

I haven't handled it yet, but if it is a full inch, it's longer/wider than Master or Blue Diamond, which measure 29/32" square (to the nearest thirty-second).
