Dukeboy, I have owned 4 predator cues and one single shaft since the beginning of predator cues. The original 314 5/16-14 joint, the cat with uniloc,a predator 2, and cat single shaft that I tried out on different butts that I use. I have experimented with different tips on the predator to see what a difference they would make on feel and performance. The predator shafts design does not bode well with a softer tip. The strong point other than low deflection is you get more out of it with less physical effort except with a soft tip. It kills the action alot. The original predator came with a lepro and played fantastic. The mori medium hard played fantastic. A medium hard tip is the answer. Now I haven't tried all of them but because there are just too many but I can tell you the soft won't get it (including the everest). I have not tried the kamui black medium. The two I know will give you great result are the lepro (which was the original tip on predators) and the mori medium. Trust me soft is not the way to go. I usually don't like to sound so sure of myself on here because a lot of things are personal preference and the flak here at az can be abusive. This I have tried and experienced. I am an above average player and can tell the difference. Now the brand of tip is subjective and harder than a medium hard is preference but softer than this and you don't have the predator performance. If you are still confused go to youtube and look at ,whats in the case, of the pros using predator shafts. They use what works. Alex Pagulayan,Dennis Hatch and many other pro predator shaft users are on there. Hope this doesn't confuse you more
