Predator Pro Pool School with Reyes, Bustamante, Hohmann, Robles May 21-22,2008

Jim...Side bet? :D I'll take $100 that NO location sells out 20 students @$1500 a pop! You in?

Let me make it clear that it would certainly be a great experience to "hang" with these champion players for a couple of days. I just think that the pricepoint is too high, but for a really select group...and it won't be 20.:D

why are you being such a "hater" ?
if you had half the credentials these guys had of course you could charge more too. Allison Fisher, Paul Potier, Massey, also charge even more. They deserve it. If you go out and win some big events, and prove you can do what you preach Im sure your prices would go up.
I think the fee is very fair for a historic lesson with these champions not to mention the greatest player of all time!

Bet....you can just give me a 100 discount on my next lesson with you...which I would like to happen soon. When are you going to be back in the N'ville area?

(-:

And I KNOW you are not a "hater" of these guys or their pool school as one REALLY misguided poster suggested.

You just think the price is too high as is your right...and you could be right but I think neither of us would give any odds on the money in our bet.

Personally, I think what you are missing is that while the TYPICAL pool player would rather pay you a smaller sum for quite possibly an equal amount of information...there are a LOT of players with PLENTY of money...and in some cases TEN TONS of money who have taken lessons with a certain top female pro I know not only for her great teaching skills BUT FOR THE EXPERIENCE...AND THE HISTORY of it.

We'lls see!

See ya soon my friend.

David...I'm not convinced they are willing. $100/hr for a group lesson, no matter who the 'pro' is, imo is highway robbery. You should be getting one-on-one with any of these guys, for that kind of money, imo. We'll see how many people step up for this "bargain"!

Scott, I can't believe you are calling this school HIGHWAY ROBBERY!
I thought you weren't supposed to make judgments of this type unless you attended the school.

How do you know what the students will learn?

Sheesh! I guess it just depends upon whose ox is getting gored today. :)

Kudos to Dragon promotions for putting this on and I hope they get the 20 students.

Joey...Let's look at the logistics here. The school is 8 hrs each day, split between 4 pros...that's two hours with each pro, for each group of 5 students. Now, it's pretty certain that at least half of that two hours will be 'demonstration' by the pro. That leaves one hour, divided by 5 students, for actual one-on-one hands-on, which works out to 12 minutes per student, at best. As a full-time professional instructor, I know that's not a lot of time.

Again, like I said before, this is a great opportunity to hang out with four of the top players in the world, for a couple of days. I just think $1500 is a lot. If the fee was $1000, it would give each of the pros $5K each, for two days "work"...pretty good wages, if ya ask me! But hey, Jeanette gets TWELVE THOUSAND for a gig...more power to her! :D

allprobilliards...A "hater"...not at all! My credentials speak for themselves, as a TEACHER...and I don't need to charge more. My rates are structured so that just about anybody who really wants to, can work with me. Plus I'm the only professional instructor in the country who will come to you, AND offers a money back guarantee if you're not satisfied. I think that speaks volumes. BTW, anyone who knows me, knows that I advocate taking lessons from as many instructors/pros that you can! It's all about learning, isn't it?

I've never claimed to be a world-class player, and it was never my ambition. Tony Robles is a world-class player and an excellent teacher (along with being an incredibly nice guy)...a rarity in today's pool world. When asked about teaching, Efren said, point-blank, "I don't know how I do what I do. If you want to learn pool, go to someone who TEACHES pool." That's not to say that those that attend this 'school' won't learn some great stuff (from him and the others)...but that is from Efren's own mouth.

I don't know if you can presume you know how the school operates if you have never attended it. From what my friend has told me before who attended a previous Predator Pro Pool School, it was excellent and worth every penny and more.

They said the mere sight of seeing these great players able to do exactly what they were telling you to do was amazing. It made you feel 100% confident it would work in match situations.

The pros were very generous with their time and even spent longer hanging out afterwards. even shooting around several games with the students. Many of the pros even befriended the students and till this day my friend still calls and emails back and forth with the pros.
Now how can you put a value on that kind of relationship?

So, until you try i, you shouldnt knock it :)

17 Spots Left

Please reserve soon, once we announce location we believe spots will go very quickly. We've had enormous response already.

For those of you who've inquired, we do apologize that this Predator Pro Poolschool is on weekdays. Yes, in past it has been on weekends, but because of Efren Reyes very tight schedule in asia and lack of availibility, we had to squeeze this in during the week right after his appearance in Las Vegas at the Predator International 10-Ball Championship.
Future Predator Pro Poolschools will always be attempted to schedule on weekend Sat and Sun.

Thank you

This is absolutely amazing!
is this for real? Efren Reyes is going to teach?? In America?!

Someone, put up the $1500.00 for me. I will go and share what I learn with all on AZBilliards.

Three questions:
1. Have they made a decision about, where is there?
2. Will they be providing video tape recordings?
3. Does anyone know if Thorsten can REALLY barbecue?

The school will definitely take place in Florida. Very likely Jacksonville.
Location should be finalized on Monday.

That's one of three.
