Predator Wisconsin 10 Ball

I should have more precise. Sorry. They're not using the 'pass back' form of tenball. Ten can be combo'd/carom'd too. Much better than WPA rules. I thought you hated this format. surprised you're following it so closely. ;)
The childish shootout and 10 ball counting on the break, the rest is fine.

It's not call safe, but when a ball is pocketed illegally (not the called shot), the opponent has a choice of shooting or passing it back.

Thanks. Haven't seen it happen yet so i didn't know. At least its not WPA '10b goes last' crap. I like DCC's 10b rules the best.

Was wondering if they are actually playing by that. Have seen it happen a number of times but never once passed back. The incoming player had a good leave except for maybe once. Anyone actually seen one pass back?

That's what i was wondering. IDK. Just asked in chat. Said that is option.

Yes, pass backs have happened. Can't take time right now to give you examples.

edit -- one just happened in the Gorst/Kazakis match, Game 4 of second set.

They're trying to get more 'non hard-core' pool fans to watch. The more i watch it the better i like it. No time to dick around and play slow outta the gate. Shootout adds some pretty good tension. Plus the matches are on schedule/on time, well run and a perfect FREE stream. Looks to me like its gonna work. Wish they'd pay a little deeper but that's about it for me.

16 out of 64 getting paid, what more do you want? Come on this is not welfare 😁😁

5 misses in that Gorst v Kazakis match shootout is probably a record.
Appleton is out.
Yapp was down 0-3 both sets to Garcia in both sets and came back to win both.

Quarterfinals-Atencio v Yapp

Not so much the depth but the amount. $1000bux ain't much these days if this is your job. After the nut you might make 200. Bullshit.
They would be lucky to make $200. Figure $300 airfare, $300 rental car, and $370 entry/admin fee, and you're are already near $1K. And, we haven't even factored in room and board. I think expenses could easily hit $1500, or more.

If the top 25 Fargo players in the world showed up for these events, and they finished in places 1-25, only 8 of them would show a profit. The rest would be lucky not to lose money. As you say, they are playing for their rent, not for fun.

You know, everyone always talks about payouts and costs of player logistics. Where do sponsors factor in that? I don’t know what a typical deal looks like. I assume it has to factor into the expenses of playing in events.

I'm sure it varies greatly, and I doubt we'll ever the know the exact terms of any sponsorship deal. Some players may have all of their expenses covered by a sponsor, or even be paid a salary. Others may get a free pool cue, or a shirt with their name on it.

I know we all love pool, but it seems like a tough way to make a living, to me.
