Is it just me or has anyone else tried the new Predator Z3 shaft and found when applying a lot of side English with any kind of a firm hit the shaft does a funny vibration and sound? Thanks for any input.

What kind of chalk mark does it leave on the CB?
Hmm... interesting question for this topic. Hope we find out what it means.

I used to play with Z-1 and Z-2 for a few years before going back to a 314 series. I vaguely recall the Z's would make a funny sound on some shots. But, it's been many years, so I can't be certain.

Question: have you played with a Z-1 or Z-2 before the Z-3? And if so, have you noticed any similar vibrations on those shafts?

I just got mine a few weeks ago and have been using the 314-2 and then switched to Z2 a year ago. I find the Z2 to be less stiff and create more vibration. I actually love the hit of the Z3 so far. Very close to the 314-2 hit. I also left the Predator med tip on to try and really like the feel of that as well.

I love my Z3 so far. I haven't really noticed much difference in my Z3 from my Z2 except that I seem to be slightly more firm and accurate with my hits

I have not noticed. I will have to clean my cue ball and try it and see. Will report back later. Thanks. I have been using a Z2 for a long time and I do notice it vibrate a little on some hits but nothing like what this Z3 is doing. I also feel I have lost accuracy on firm shots with a lot of English on the Z3 or I need to learn different compensation for this Z3 shaft.

If predator's claims are true, you will need to adjust your aim more in favor of swerve.

Myself, I've used the full range of Predator shafts since 1998 or so, and currently still use them. Probably had 15 of them. I honestly haven't noticed much of an aim difference amongst any of them. I was considering getting one of the 3rd generation shafts, but will prob just stick with what I have now.

In my opinion all the Zs make a funny sounds at certain shots.

Nothing to worry about.

Just keep shootin'

I am desirous to know whether the contact point on the CB shows a scuff (sliding contact point) or a regular round smudge (non-sliding contact).

This will tell if the vibration originates by force-loss at contact, or by bending forces at contact.

I have played with mine for a couple of weeks now. I haven't noticed anything but the first thing I did was change the tip to a G2 soft. It took some getting used to even after using the Z and the Z2, but it's great
