Predictions for Earl vs. Mike?

best bet might be a draw.... they could easily kill each other off before either gets to 21
 
Mike can be vocal and may get on Earl's nerves, if Earl starts yapping at him
and complaining about something MD will fire back.

Also Earl hates everything about the modern rack and break,
it tilts him to see the same ball fly in, over and over, or see guys fuss over the rack for a long time.

Mike has a rep as a rack specialist and has worked a lot with Joe Tucker.
He'll figure out a break that works almost every time and if Earl gets
a couple of dry breaks, we'll see some serious crying and hand-flipping.

In short I think Mike being Mike will tilt Earl and give MD an edge.
 
I have a prediction that I can guarantee: Every time Mike gets out it will be pure luck and never a result of skill. When Earl misses or gets out of line it will be due to table roll, something a spectator did, or the most unbelievable unfortunate roll ever to befall a pool player!

If the players are mic'd up you'll hear this.
 
Rack Your Own?

I heard that there will be a neutral racker (C player) and that it is not rack your own. If that is the case I give the advantage to Earl, if it is rack your own I give MD a slight edge seeing its his home table and he is a rack mechanic.

Earl will have to do a lot of sharking to stay with Mike. My pick here is Mike, although alternate break should keep it close.
 
ya think, this might also be a test for MD? i'm sure Mark Wilson will be watching for his Mosconi picks.

Well, the line in the The Action Room seems to be Earl -1. It'll be interesting to say the least.
 
Matches like this may be the best action in pool.

Reminds me of the days that boxing was king, and Friday Night Fights usually had the best show of the week.
