Depends on how hard you like your tips and where you are starting from.
I leave them under pressure 'generally' for a few days for a pretty firm tip.

I soak 14mm elks in water less than a minute, then compress 24 hrs to .200
There about a med or a little firmer. There real firm at .180 or a med soft at .220

Im asking about new tips for installing .
Since I see you're from Poland,and because of that obviously on the Metric System,I'll help you out here.
.220 = roughly 5.5mm,close enough the difference won't matter.
.200 = 5mm.
.180 = 4.5mm.
If you want to really pin it down exact,to go from Imperial to Metric,take the Imperial number and divide it by .03937. That gives you the Metric equivalent in millimeters,in this case 5.58.
To reverse it,multiply the Metric number by .03937,in this case it comes out to .2196.
As far as compressing the tip,it's easiest to do with a good,solid vise and using FORCE that can be measured in pounds per square inch or PSI,rather than weight. In the Metric System,this is measured in kPa.
The way I do mine is putting the tip in the vise,with the bottom of the tip against the back or unmoveable jaw,and keep going until I can't get it any tighter without using a piece of pipe to increase leverage.
I loosen the vise,turn the tip around,and do it again with the bottom of the tip against the moveable jaw.
I've never tried leaving a tip in a vise for extended periods of time,but it might work in some cases.

loctite super gel super glue works good.
There are different tricks to each brand of tip.
Dries in a minute or 2 slower glues and epoxy, heavy duty rubber bands work great as to hold the tip in place
0.200 or 0180 is close to 5mm thick x 14mm dia.
what ever brand tip you buy , buy it in 14 mm.
i do not suggest you do your tip yourself .
