I have a pro at my house. He's been trying out this new cue stick. He complains that this one here has too much forward balance, and it doesn't have the "hit" he's looking for.
Shane, Dennis O., Manny Chau and Warren Kiamco have been to my house this year alone. Naturally I kicked all their butts! Then we started playing pool.
I did beat Warren in a Race to Three Banks, running five and out in the last game. Surprise, Surprise! Once in a while I can win a game of Banks from Manny (maybe one out of five). Dennis is a different story. He delights in kicking my ass every time we play, whether it be One Pocket or Banks. He's brutal!
I would like to hear stories of well know players playing on your home table.Scotty Towsend played at my house wearing cowboy boots, cut off bluejean shorts and no shirt and drank a case of beer in 4 hours. It was over 100 outside and the air wasn't keeping the pool room cold.
Scotty's a funny dude, he told me he pulled over one time because he felt "too drunk to drive" and passed out....he woke to a knock on the window and it was a cop who made him blow in the Blood Alcohal Content machine.....a few minutes later the cop came back and Scotty said "well, what did it read?" ...the cop looked confused and said "the machine just said you're dead!!!"
I've had some pros at my house a few times....Mike Sigel, David Howard, Earl Stickland, Roger Griffis, Johnny Archer, etc, .....they were all fun to have around, Sigel is unusually entertaining, especially if you ever become his "ear man".
