Hi everyone
I saw where Howard Vickery was sponsored by Pro Billiard Eyewear at one time. Does anyone know if they are still in business? I can't find any info on them. I sure could use a pair of big glasses. Thanks

I just bought a pair of those last week, and expect them in later next week. I will probably submit a review here if there is enough interest.

Thanks,
Shorty

I'd be interested in your review of those glasses. Might have to get me a pair. ~ LL

I use a pair of Zeiss "Scopz". They have the silicone nose pads, the adjustable bridge, spring hinge temples, and rubberized cable ear grips like the Decot Hy Wyd. I just like the style better, and Zeiss is one of the tops brands in optical equipment and lenses.

Whichever you go with; do not get any tint. Trust me on this, for pool, clear is better than any tint. DO get the anti scratch, and UV coatings, and go for the Hi Index lenses (they are way thinner and lighter than regular lenses).

Here's a link for the Zeiss glasses:

I have played with DeCot Hy Wyd for two years and cannot say enough good things about the product and their customer service. They are to notch in my books. I would reccomend the black frames, the gold seemed to reflect some light from above.

I'm going to try out the Oakley Thump Tribal Black. I get a pair tomorrow.

If you want to see what they look like, click Here.

If I like them, I'm going to request a different coating for the lenses.

Howard Vickery sells the glasses he wears. PM me for his #.

Shorty, would be happy to hear your evaluation of the Decot Hy Wyd. I plan on getting glasses within the next couple of months. I wear tri-focals but don't wear them while playing but my eyes are getting worse and glasses are in order. I'm just not sure which ones to get and if I should get bi-focals with them.

:::Update:::

I'm loving the Oakley's.

Still working on having them do a custom job. In due time, is all I can say.

Clearity of the table hasn't been sharper while wearing the Thumps. Only problem I'm having is adjusting to the light shift of "bright" to comfortable during transitions.

If you can splurg on yourself, get a pair. You won't regreat it.

Ask your eye doctor to give you a prescription to give you optimum vision between 3 and 10 feet. Use that prescription for your pool glasses.

with hard contact lenses, which I wear. He focused them for
2-9 feet. They DID NOT work. Regular prescription does better
for the whole array of shots, close-ups and long shots.

I also would love to hear a review.

You can't be serious with those things. Its like the baseball players who where these special contacts now that enhance certain light waves and makes it easier to see the pitch. Willie Mosconi would be rolling in his grave.

Nope, not kidding.

The XYZ aspect of the Oakley lenses are helping me understand a few things about my stance, and the LOS (line of sight) over my stick.

My left eye is 20/15. My right is 20/90, due to it has Minocular Diplopia. Birth defect of having a fold in my retina.

All I'm saying is that the Oakley Thumps are working for me. Your milage may vary

::Edit::
forgot to mention that I'm right handed.

I got a script for 0 to 9 feet for contact lenses,they work good but i hate contacts for long tourneys or matches,there ok for league play.I have had them for i month now i will get new lenses the same for my decots.I have 1 bifocal set of lenses,1 regular script lenses,neither one works for me.The best way to figure what you need is to go with contacts till you get a good script then put in the proper lenses.I listened to bad advice and it cost me money.
