pro players and family

I never hear much about pro players, especially the females being married or having family. Maybe I am wrong about that, but I was just wondering why that is. Is it because of the time requirements to play at that level and the touring involved? Do they just not ever really say much about their families?

If you were a pro with a family, would you want to share it with this group?

Ewa and her husband and daughter live on a farm near Myrtle Beach, SC...Jeanette is married to a rather well known player. That's just two off the top of my head. Many of the ladies are single, or live an alternative lifestyle. Not that it matters...they are extremely talented, and all of them that I know personally are great people that I enjoy being around.

Unless the non-playing spouse has a good job or has money, most pro players can't afford to be married. Then the lifestyle doesn't mesh too well either for marriage. Johnnyt

Like everyone else in society, some players have great families, some do not. Some have "significant others" and some do not. Pool players are not different than any other people, when it comes to their personal lives. Perhaps, they just like to keep their personal lives personal.

I don't really mean to say that their personal lives should be any less personal. I simply meant that it seems like less pro pool players are married as compared to some other sports, and I wonder if it is the lifestyle, travel, costs, or whatever that creates that.

I don't think it's legal for a lot of female pro's to get married to their *ahem significant others in this country.

Most other Pro athletes are Millionares. Kinda alleviates the burden of the lifestyle, travel , costs, or "whatever".

IMHO That is what makes "JAM" such a special woman, and such a blessing for Keith. There sure arn't many like her.
