Problem with OMGWTF

Went for my weekly dose of pool humor at one of my favorite blogs this morning, and I got this message from my security program:

PHISHING ATTACK
"this web page is used for stealing credit card numbers, PIN-codes, passwords and other personal data"

I'm quite sure the the owner/author of the site is not doing this, probably some hacker has infected her site. I know she reads this forum, and many of you know her. Hopefully this can be corrected soon.

It's possible a cracker got her site... it recently got blocked from my work network as well. It may have been a specific blog on blogspot but the whole server probably got blacklisted or something.

It comes up OK for me. Nothing reported on it...it says. Johnnyt

You must have a different security program. Mine (Kaspersky) is still showing the message.

If you want to test the entire server

Bad timing too since she posted about a fund raiser thing.

It comes up just fine in my corner of the world. I'm behind IT Dept./business level type of security (work), plus I add in my own security measures as well... so it's not due to a lack of security.

If you want to test the entire server, I post from the same place. If mine works... then it might be a specific block to just her blog. If mine is also blocked... then it'd be the server. Unless it's something else......

Hopefully whatever it is gets fixed soon...

I have MS Vista....it has more security than Fort Knox. You have to raise your hand before you can do anything on it. Everytime you fart a warning pops up...I hate it. Johnnyt

I would almost bet that it's the fact her blog is on Blogspot that is the issue. Lots of folks create dummy blogs there to phish/scam with.

Your security programs are probably being extra-careful and reacting to the domain as a whole.

I did a search on google for "blogspot phishing kapersky" (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rls=com.microsoft%3Aen-us&q=blogspot+phishing+kapersky) and it looks like perhaps Kapersky is not agreeable with Blogspot sites.

I asked the person who maintains the server for my blog and he did not find anything unusual about the site, but I will ask for another opinion/check up from a second techie-geek.

As for my sales of t-shirts, donations, and sparkly useless things, I don't ask for credit cards. All payment is done through the Spreadshirt site, Paypal, mail, or in person.

Sorry for the late response. I was out playing pool. :)

What????

You were out playing pool when you could have been writing and keeping us entertained? Whoever heard of such a thing!

OK, more seriously, many thanks for your site, always enjoyable.
