Pros and Kamui Chalk...

How many of them really use kamui?? Im seriously curious because in ever event Ive been to in the past year I havent seen one cube of it!! Not saying that the pros dont use it but most pros I see in competition chalk up every other shot....

That being said does having this type of chalk an advantage?? Hmmmmm
 
I have seen one cube of it ever. It was from a C player and he raved about how much it has helped his game. I would think a C player would have a lot of other things to work through before worrying about what kind of chalk he's using. :)
 
I must be having a search slump but I could swear that either this was discussed not that long ago (maybe it got deleted?) or that I've traveled back in time (in which case I wish I paid attention to the lotto).

Anyways ... Raj used it at TAR 23 IIRC.
 
I kind of doubt a pro would even use it in an event unless they were sponsered.
I see this chalk as something for the less advanced player.
Maybe someone who has issues with miscueing or storke issues?
Not saying that it is only good for a C player but a pro likely does not have much use for it.

Mika not only uses the chalk in tournaments, but when he is just practicing by himself here in NYC.

Well as a user and reporter I had the same thought. At SBE last week I saw 4 or 5 players in the Pro 10 ball using it. Wish I had kept a list. I believe Ralf Souguet was using it. And I think Kamui is one of his sponsors.

Now Master and Silver Cup/ Champion have come out with new blends.

very small handful, majority use master I believe. only ones i know who use kamui is mika and ralf. since their both sponsored. **** these layered tips and expensive chalk ;) hahaha

I believe Louis Ulrich is sponsored by Kamui and uses it.

I’m pretty sure this happened at the last Swanee Memorial. He was playing on the TV table and the Kamui representative was in the booth commentating. The rep was talking about the chalk and how happy they were with having Ulrich on their team. Just as they finished the sentence, Ulrich miscued! It was absolutely hilarious! I almost died laughing. The timing was perfect.
 
I've positively seen 2, maybe 3 pros using in on streams, but they were also sponsored by kamui so that might be the main reason they use it.

Maybe thats why mikas not at the top in the past year since kamui came out. Just a thought. He has not won any big one except the masters in eary 2011
