I, like some others on AZB, buy alot of cues. Seldom do I buy alot of this other stuff that is for sale out there. But sometimes I do. Is it to make me a great player? No, I'm aware that the only way to get better is practice and tougher competition. But you know what? Some of these things are helpful. Depends. I wear a glove when I shoot...almost the only one I've seen around that does. Why? Because it removes a distraction for me. Why buy new cues? NO magic cue...but the one that does exactly what you are looking for. For me it's touch...feel...whatever you want to call it. After playing pool for a few years I finally decided to take some lessons. Two lessons in and I've already seen a huge jump in my confidence and ability to pocket balls. So, do you think none of the top pros ever try this stuff? Maybe not in matches. But I'll bet you anything they try them at home. Where no one sees them.
The only magic potion is time, proper practice, and patience.
