You have specific things you want in a cue 58in, 19oz, 13mm - even if this is average or standard - it is what makes you comfortable when playing. When I built Keith McCready a couple custom cues (playing, break cue, jump cue) last summer, he was very very specific about the specs he wanted on the cues (balance point, weight, etc). A lot of players would not be comfortable playing with the specs Keith wanted.
