The Jay Swanson Memorial Tournament as we call it here "The Swanee" I think its the first weekend of Feb. at Hollywood Billiards

672 players played out over the course of 2 days. :D

I might have to hit the gym just to build up the stamina to play in that tournament (just in case I happen to get far)!

Oh okay. Maybe 672 is an exaggeration.

This years Jay Swanson memorial 9-ball event is Feb 9-10, 2008. Held again at Hollywood Billiards. I tried to attach the poster with all the info but could not make it work. When I get back to the office on Monday, I will have a better computer guy try.

Last year was cut off at 192. $65 entry $3,000 added. The add will go to $4,000 if the field fills at 192. It is a lirttle on the grind side but we move the match along as fast as possible.

Hollywood Billiards opens early for a breakfast special. You can sign up on site up to the night before. I do the draw late that night. If there are any openings left, first come first served the next morning.

It better be on a Sat. and Sun. cause I'm working it again this year, along with Mark. This one is a grind. Try playing 192 players on 20 tables in two days. It ain't easy!

Maybe it's the 8th and 9th then. Looks like the 9th is a Sunday.

In all seriousness, if anyone can do it you can. I can not wait, had to miss last year.

Swanee is held Sat & Sunday - Feb. 9-10th, 2008. My calendar says 9&10 is Saturday & Sunday.

Remember this for 2008. Not sure where the confusion is coming from.

How about the soft break issue?

I think the Eurotour or something in Europe has adopted the rule that on the break three balls must cross the head string.

Do you have anything to say about this issue with regard to the Swanee?
