So John will this Design be going in production?

LOL - I have the addresses but not what the money's for. Nice try. You still in Germany?

Yeah brother... I left Stuttgart in August for Heidelberg ..and just started working in Mannheim 2 weeks ago.

I guess I am going to pull a tour at EVERY single post in Germany before I leave (if ever).

When I get to the house I will take a look at your pics.. websense blocks them from work... might pick up pne from you.

Little bump - got a few of these left, if anyone has money left over after the DCC then ship it here for one of these great cases. Did I mention how LIGHT they are?

I was never one to be into cases, but I have to say that red and black one really looks good to me. Good job.

Question: Why is there a zipper on the side of each case? Is it just for a different aesthetic look? It does not appear to be functional. Thanks.

I assume you mean what looks like a zipper all the way down one edge of the case? I was also wondering about that.

Thanks. The zipper on the side has no function - all it does is provide us with a way to do all the fancy work without having to sew the seam while the case is turned inside out. It's the seam. By doing it this way I can do very creative pockets, tougher handles, and inlays among other techniques that aren't possible on a case where the exterior has to be turned right side out.

If you go to youtube and search for how boots are made and find the Lucchese videos then you can see that the upper part of the boot is sewn inside out and then turned using a hydraulic piston.

In the leather industry one of the highest paid jobs used to be that of the turner, the person who had to be able to turn a piece without breaking the seams or damaging the leather in any way. Not an easy job.

I don't like to make cases like It's George with the seam sticking out. But I do like to make cases which are fanciful in design and cool in function and somewhat symmetrical in the construction. So I came up with the idea of using a zipper as the seam and hence this group of prototypes was born.

I am waiting on some extra flat reverse zippers, the kind used on women's dresses to see if those will make the cases look a little sleeker.

As they are though, in person, they came out pretty sporty and definitely give the ability to do a lot with the design by not having to turn the work.

Sterling cases

I was looking at some sterling cases on ebay and they didn't quite look the same as comparable sterling models on retailers websits. are their sterling knockoffs on the market?

Ordered one of these cases, and can't wait for it to arrive. John and his crew do great work and the customer service is second to none.

Thanks again John

Still two for sale.

Doing a little housecleaning,

These are some more of the prototype cases we did a month or so ago. They are all in perfect condition with some innovative features on them.

These designs may or may not end up in our lineup. I have too many of them since we made many versions to show off. Right now though it's better to be in your hands than taking up space in my shop.

All of them have the JB Case UltraPad interior inside. The sizes are indicated with each case listing.

For clarity I am listing the front and back pictures of each case along with the price in the first post and then detail pix of each case in each subsequent post. The price is INCLUDING international shipping.

As always it's first come first serve. I prefer paypal to paypal@jbideas.com

I haven't seen any knockoffs yet but I am sure that they are coming.

The problem often is that retailers don't update their websites frequently enough to keep up with the new models. We send out the data disks but it sometimes takes them months to add the new items.

Consequently there are some retailers, especially the Ebay sellers who are ahead of the curve on new models as they are looking for any edge over their competition.

To be fair we have hit them all with many many new models in the past year and a half and have more coming. The best place to see which models are current is www.cuesight.com as that website is kept fairly current on new models. Of course any case you see there can be ordered from any other retailer, off or online. Just tell them to call 877-283-7444 and get a dealer account with Sterling Gaming if they don't already have one.
