Prulhiere Cues

Its not finish. It is from a new hot wax i was trying out and I didn't realize that when it was applied, it was running on the joint. This has been changed, and I am not using it anymore. You never saw the complaint about finish on the joint with my cues until the last couple of posts and that is because of the new wax. If you notice, you can scrape it off with your finger nail. It is not necessary to toss out the insults (finishing 101), as I am always willing to make any situation right, and I am always very easy to talk to. I am sincerely sorry you had any issues at all, as that surely is not my intent.

I bought one from him on eBay. I like the cork wrap, I like the solid hit, the workmanship was pretty good considering it was done by hand. I played with it for about a week, sold it and made a $100. I was really wanting it for myself because I liked the wood in the cue and I didnt have much money invested, but the cue didn't roll straight. The guy I sold it to had someone look at it and they found some glue or something around the joint that was causing it to lift. It was repaired and rolls straight now. I wish I woulda noticed that! :(

Holy crap you made 100 bucks on it and it didn't roll straight? I wonder what it was worth if it rolled straight.

First I gotta wonder why somebody wouldn't contact the maker when a new cue does not roll straight. Second.....folks....if a cue does not roll straight at the joint....check the joint face....the tiniest bit of anything on it will cause it to seat crooked....often it's dirt/grime on older cues.

Just a thought, if you liked the cue and it turns out the not rolling straight thing was a bit of a fluke and not really a construction or quality issue, why not put your money back into another one? I think Prulhiere is still running some special prices, but you would have to check with him on that. You could still end up ahead or even put the extra you made into a nicer one. :)

Nice hitting cue for the price

I received my a little over a week ago and I have been using it in practice and also in league. I have to say that this is a very nice hitting cue. As far a quality, I believe this to be nice quality for a custom cue in this price range.

Also, Brian was awesome with his communication and willingness to customize the details (turning down the shaft, etc.)

Specs:
goncalo alves butt and forearm
Fiddleback maple for handle
3/8 X 10 pin
IvorineIII ferrule, Triangle Tip, shaft, maple turned to 12.5mm
Phenolic Joint

I have added pics of Brian's great nice work.
