PSR and CTE Aiming.

I'm curious as to what are the exact steps in other approaches to PSR that gets a player into the ultimate position for the perfect stroke on each and every shot.
As well as positioning the eyes and head appropriately to be able to just "see the shot" without any aiming procedures/methods/systems.

I can't speak personally about how it's accomplished in Poolology, See See, Mosconi Fractions, or any of the other concepts because I don't know how they work and only use one (CTE), myself.
As a student of the game, I am especially intrigued how it's accomplished in the "just see the shot" method. I like to learn new things. And there are other inquiring minds who would enjoy knowing those precise steps as well.
(Please...."just hit a million balls" won't do. That method(?) is so worn out and hackneyed it can't be considered seriously in modern discussions about this great game. The obvious rebuttal to the "hit a million balls method" is merely......"what happens if the player hits the million balls over and over in the wrong way?" He/she could be stuck at a plateau for decades and never rise above the circumstances.)
Someone, please post more about getting that perfect PSR in "just see the shot and shoot" method without aiming.
Are there any knowledgeable sources who will elaborate on that?

I'm all ears and thank you.

You determine the stroking line .
Plant your rear foot on that line .
Go down on that line and stroke through that line .

And yes, HAMB, trains your right brain the visuals for shots .
Are you going to line up to the center of the cue ball and center of the object ball if you are trying to cut the ball to the left or right ? How would you know know you don't do that ? BECAUSE YOUR VISUAL when you are down will tell you the OB is going straight .
Not to mention, you KNOW THE CUEBALL is going straight back or forward .
HOW DO YOU KNOW WHERE THE CUE BALL IS GOING ? Didn't your HAMB tell you that ?

Now, tell us how CTE gets you to the ULTIMATE PSR.
Explain the 6 shots . How you come down on them.

I'm embarrassed to admit that I misread your original post, and did jump the gun on you. My apologies for my rudeness and the distraction.

Maybe Lou, who says he shoots like that (I don't), will answer your question.

I've had the guy on Ignore for quite a while.

If you are so motivated, here's my explanation to quote from an udder thread:

Here's my bestest explanation, and if anyone doesn't buy it they can go... well, you know: The whole focus of my pool playing life, for decades now, has been to have a very precise, very repeatable PSR. When I approach a shot, I typically stand in the same spot in relation to the balls. I look at the shot, the whole shot, and decide what I want to do. I don't look at contact points or nuthin'. If I look at anything at all, I tend to check where I want the CB to land. This takes but a moment unless it's a touchy 1pocket situation.

Once I've made up my mind about what I want to do I descend into shooting position executing my PSR. And what I think happens is that my body unfolds itself using my PSR but in a manner that puts my bridge hand and the rest of my body in perfect position to shoot the shot the way I have decided to shoot it. Once I'm in shooting position the only things I'm checking are my speed during one or two warm up strokes and perhaps making a minute adjustment to where I'm hitting the CB. I see the OB, I see the CB, and I shoot the shot.

so Lou you have already seen everything from A to Z before you get down on the shot. Total visualization of the shot. I like that.

Let's keep it simple.
Someone tell me the PSR to 6 shots on CTE.
Just 15*,30*,45*,60*,75* and 90*.
I don't need a system on 0*.
I just line up center to center base of the balls.

Where do I line up my rear foot and stroking line ?
How do I get to the stroking line?

eyes lead and the body follows.
you are not an aiming system player correct?

I think once you get into shooting position 90% of the work has been done.

Last second stuff is checking your speed and hit on the CB but there's no aiming per se.

Here's an illustrative clip at the 32 seconds mark:

Here you go...this will help you. Enjoy.
How to position the feet for PSR...it's in here. How to position the bridge for distance as well as line in the PSR...it's in here. How to align the eyes and what to align on the balls in the PSR...it's in here. All straight from Stan Shuffett.
Enjoy.

:thumbup2:

There is nothing there that mentions PSR.

Why can't you explain it ?
15,30,45,60,75 and 90 degrees.

Couldn't have anything to do with you being a one-trick pony, walking, talking billboard for "your favorite method", could it?

pj <- just a thought

So what if he is a billboard. Why do you have to jump in and tear it down?
Post some of your little pictures in your own thread, they always draw 3 or 4 comments about how nice they are.

Cookieman...is that for me?
I'm slow today :)........I even gave that fella Joey the wrong link on a thing.
(been sipping the "Christmas Cheer" a little too heavy today, I think.)
And I got to go play a tournament tonight....they'll be waiting for me like crows on a watermelon that fell off a truck.
Happy Trails....and all that stuff.

Okay here you go. (sorry I made an error on you)
Everything you asked about is in this link.
Enjoy.

No, it's not .
"CTE Aiming, of course, provides a very exact way of planning and executing a prefect PSR (Pre Shot Routine)"

VERY EXACT WAY OF PLANNING and executing a perfect PSR.

But, you can't explain it ?

Let's try 15 and 30 degrees.

HOW do I execute them ?

Pardner it's all right there.
I can't spoon feed you, man. You gotta' get in there and dig it out for yourself.
Like the rest of us had to do.
It's not rocket science...you can do it man. Don't give up, honest, you can do it too.
THERE IS NO MENTION of PSR BECAUSE THE ENTIRE PROCESS OF VISUALIZATION WHEN STANDING, HOW YOU ANGLE THE CUE WHILE STANDING, HOW THE FEET ARE SET UP, WHERE THE "V" OF THE BRIDGE IS PLACED IS THE PSR.
ALL OF CTE IS THE PSR.
It's done the SAME WAY every time. Once you're fully down on the shot there are NO ADJUSTMENTS OR SCREWING AROUND WITH THE EYES. HEAD MOVEMENT, GUESSING GAMES FOR FEEL OR ANYTHING ELSE.

Sic 'em.

No, it's not .
Those are over 1 1/2 hours of videos that do not mention this ULTIMATE PSR.

Let's try this again.
Let's keep it simple.
15 and 30 degrees.

What is the PSR on each.
